We Found an Arcade inside of an Abandoned Shopping Mall

In this week's video, Bros of decay and I explored an abandoned shopping mall in the middle of the city. This abandoned shopping center is was one of the first to open in the town and is one of the oldest abandoned malls.
This abandoned mall is pretty empty but we found some stores with things inside, a baby store and sports store, also found coffee shops and the information center. And last but not least, we found an arcade full of videogames. This arcade had Mortal Kombat 3, Crypt Killer, Basketball Club, and Stardiver.
This abandoned mall is abandoned since 2002 because more shopping malls open in the area and this one was outdated so it closed. Not just that but also because most of the stores in the mall were closed.
It was so much fun exploring with bros of decay, and I hope everyone liked it!!

I know this is an old comment, but how rare is that Crypt killer? Is it hard to find? What makes it rare?

This is the original deluxe arcade cabinet, for this light gun shooter. Most of these cabinets are destroyed, and only a handful still exist today. If you ever see Crypt Killer at an arcade, it's usually never the original cabinet. Same goes for other arcade cabinets, that are now custom built, and all emulated.

@@sharky-mn3tv - I see. Do you know of any arcade that had the original Deluxe Crypt Killer like in the video? You said a few still exist. I would like to play it. It looks interesting.

@@TheBigExclusive No I don't, the remaining arcades that had them closed years ago. Also, I didn't fully think that comment through (human error.) The whereabouts of these deluxe cabinets now, are currently unknown. This video is the only striking evidence, that one still exists. Outside from a promotional flyer, which can be found on Google images. With that said, this video is the only footage of the cabinet. I can't even find a custom built cabinet, to play Crypt Killer now. If you really want to play it, get the game for PlayStation 1. I highly recommend using a light gun, and a CRT. It may not feel the same, but it's unfortunately the only easy way. (Yes I'm aware, that getting everything will be a little pricey.)

Most shopping centers are ending up like this. This seems to have ended with the old currency the Escudo. These gaming machines are also starting to be a rare thing to see live. Nice Video.

Ehrgeiz header in the MK3 cab. Nice! Ehrgeiz was a solid fighting game with a dungeon crawler mode from Squaresoft on PS1.

@14:48 OMG Mortal Kombat III. You found one of the best classic arcades and it's a shame that's been abandoned just like that. Buying an MK3 Arcade now is so damn expensive! Everyone wants an arcade in their homes. I would probably come back with a truck and take that arcade home with me to repair it lol.

Hi Danny! I remember the other mall & that was a neat one,this one is pretty neat as well but in it's own unique way. I like getting to see Jordie he is always behind the camera so we don't get to see him enjoying himself.🙂 at 3:16 yup I can hear the power,that is crazy 😯 this was a fun 1 to watch. thanks & I can't wait 4 the next video 🙂

Arcades were the best! Kids will never know, 🤣. I use to work on two different mall. The bigger one has hidden hallway for the staff , was kinda creepy if you need to walk alone there.full of Weird noises, and on the smalldr one. Security said that weird things happen3d at night. I bet it was soo funny walking on that abandoned one! I loved it amazing video !!👏👏👏

This was amazing! The Krypt Killer game would bring at least $5000.00 US! So different from anything we would see in the United States. In America, any place like this could have been totally destroyed. It would be graffiti, dirty needles, homeless people sleeping there. Thank you so much!

Hi Danny, What an interesting explore in this abandoned shopping mall! - I also was listening with much interest to your narration how the mall got abandoned back in the days. I am not quite sure if I may call this place an "investment ruin", a failure of planning such a place. It was for sure very interesting to walk in mind with you through this huge building. - What on the other hand surprised me, was the fact, that in some shops were still untouched items visible, which you very accurately documented with your video. - Once again I was really very fascinated by your wonderful still photos, which captured the atmosphere of some parts of the mall in a very intense way. - Super, dear Danny! I really hope those machines got saved because it would be such a waste if they’re just left there gathering dust and not being played on. If I had the money and room I’d gladly save those machines, such a shame 😔😔

the mortal kombat arcade cabinet is worth 2500 there was atleast 10,000 dollars worth of games in there wtf!! please tell me you went back and took them cleaned them and gave them a proper home! its sacrilege to leave them there rotting away

Hello Danny, Lesley and Jordy, so sad that a new retail development can just ruin established venues, it happens a lot here in the US too. Even before all this Covid crap many malls are closed/deserted because of open 'fresh air' shopping centers... I personally would rather shop in a climate controlled setting than too hot/cold or rain/snow, but maybe many others don't care. Anyway... you are right about the interesting design/architecture, and that it deserves to be put to good use, better than collecting dust. As usual, enjoyed your video and look forward to seeing the next.
