We found Paradise in Guilin, China

4 жыл бұрынWe traveled from Chengdu to Guilin to embark on a 3 day photography extravaganza. The guided tour required us to wake up at 2-3am every day to photograph sunrise in incredibly difficult to reach locations with gorgeous views and stay up all the way through the sunset to catch the best light. I wasn't prepared for how much I would love Guilin, it's absolutely beautiful there.

we had a short chat during 2006 and plans happen to changed a bit, I remember him saying "Remember me I'm Gweilo60 " . I watch and comment on his videos because we're so alike. He doesn't live far away and hopefully we'll find some spare time to have dinner and say cheers! Guilin, yesterday my wife asked me if I wanted to visit, with her tai chi friends. I said if the doctor releases you in time... ok. Just a bit of water on her knee. How are things?

It maybe Europeans who own the best land on earth, then north Americans. Chinaland is not that good in climatic conditions: Dry northwest and wet southeast, while the hottest summer and coldest winter, compared with other countries at the same latitude. But it's true that it's diverse in geography and you can find landscapes similar to those from other continents there.

The first time when we were in Yangshuo, we found a local young man, kinda a uber driver for the river bamboo raft ride. We took the ride, and since it's quite late after, the young man invited us all to his home, his wife just grab some vegetable from their garden and made a delicious dinner for us. Quite a wonderful experience.

Indonesian-born Chinese here. I haven't been to China either, but I think we should visit the homeland of our ancestors at least once to reconnect with our roots. :)

I've just traveled to guilin last mouth. Rafting on the river is really exciting. It was a big pity that I didn't see the sunrise on the mountain. And it was a bit hot that time, so, it's better to go there in Spring.

It is a magic place to visit. There is a limestone cave you can visit called Yingzi Caves in Lipu, Guilin that is absolutely unbelievable and has to be seen to be believed.

I've been to Guilin.. but just for a cruise along the Li river and also to a big cave.. is that Yangshuo town? I mean the hotel.. that's so beautiful..I've never heard of Xin Ping town.. 😍 it's so beautiful.. seems that I have to go there again... 🧡

Went to Guilin and Yangshuo in November 2019. Fun places to visit, bring your camera, there are lots of visual treasures to behold. My favorite, Longji Rice Terraces, where we arrived at the beginning of the harvest and the fields were a golden yellow.

I'm from Liuzhou, which is like a 2 hour drive from Guilin. Yangshuo is my favourite destination for travel when I was a kid!

@@mosesjane9456 The Chinese "mountain"(actually should be hill) and "river" not only the meaning of landscape. That is some kind of spiritual. That why not used "風景(landscape)甲天下(world No 1) but used 山水(hill and river).

My wife and I spent a few day's in Guilin went on a river trip. Seven sisters park is worth a look. Also the night river trip In Guilin is nice.
