So this Why Rein was so fun this event. This bug is perfect.

So I have a theory! Widow's ult creates a new object on top of the player, this object: 1 - Can take damage, all damage it takes is transfered to the connected player 2 - Does not allow sticky projectiles to stick to it 3 - Is a separated entity from the player it connects to Because of that aoe attacks are hitting both the player and this new entity it creates, and this object transfers that damage making it double. It makes me question 2 things? 1 - Why doesn't it work just like the headshot hurtbox in the head? Instead of changing where the enemy can be critted they just make a new object that is placed on top of it for some reason?? That seems like more work. 2 - HOW DID THEY NOT FIND THIS????? rein's swing does this and if you actualy know how widows ult works it would make sense to test it, as progamming a failsafe so that an enemy couldn't be hit twice by aoe would be needed. This is absulutely hilarious, I wonder if a character like junk of phara would have their damage multiplied too? Does D.va's ult hit twice????

It's cause of the way the weak point works. Normally when you shoot the weak spot the weak spot deals damage to the target but "blocks" the main body from being damaged. Aoe attacks hit both the weak spot and the main body but don't crit

I find funny that blizzard could just make the torso hitbox be a weak spot but instead they screw doing this, the joke writes itself

So the widow ult “crit” is actually a secondary hitbox that’s assigned to the hero. So rather than doing critical damage, it does a body shot twice?

the mirror watch widow ult allows everyone on her team to basically crit just like her, so with the initial damage of the soul explosion already being high enough at base to one shot a full health tracer, it's that base damage plus the ability to crit and because it's an aoe, it doesn't bug out like how Echo and Bash abilities bug out.

Wow you really tested all of those things to come to the same conclusion as I did after the first 5 seconds. It's pretty obvious what the bug is... widow's ult creates an extra "head" on an enemies body.... when they went to make sure no players could damage those spots they forgot to turn off aoe damage from objects. Ana's grenade is probably considered a projectile coming from her not a whole separate object like a tracer bomb... -.-

Why didn't you just recreate the circumstance to begin with? 4 people behind a rein shield with ally widow ult and soul in the middle. You can just keep removing parts until you find out what caused it instead of taking this long or does the workshop tool somehow not allow for that

I have a theory: What if you do more damage if you blow up your teammates' souls? In the video, they only did it with the enemy soul, not their teammate. Also, in the Play of the Game, Mercy blows up her allies' soul.

Are the bugs found because the enemy is roadhog?

Ok wanna hear something funny? Widows ult is even more bugged on console if she uses her ult the whole lobby just loses their aim assist 😂 nobody has aim assist as long the ult is active lol. I don’t know what blizzard did with that ult

Here’s another theory to test. Doom got discorded while dying to zen. Maybe debuff stays on the soul after dying and interacts in a weird manner with widow ult?
