We Found The Class 730!

Travelling from London Euston to Tring with my friend Oscar in the peak hours of Saturday, we managed to find the class 730 train in testing!
SPOILER ALERT
We unfortunately couldn't catch the train, which only runs three times a day from London Euston during weekdays, so instead we took a trip on the class 350, seeing the differences between the old and new rolling stock.

I’m pretty sure that 730s run in either 3 or 6 coaches so you should probably have a look at realtime trains and if it 3 or 6 coaches it’s a 730 Fantastic video by the way

Hold on there, i'm still mourning the passing of the 317's and 365's, thankfully Varamis Rail have re-purposed some 321's and using them for parcels, coming to Euston soon

I went on one today from Watford to London Euston. Decent trains though the seats leeave much to be desired.

Great Stuff! I spent many a happy Saturday at Tring Station back in the early 90's, when there were still Silverlink trains and when there used to be a MaxPax Hot Drinks Machine in the waiting room on one of the middle platforms. 20p For a cup of tasty Veggie Soup, and 30p for a Hot chocolate. Good times!

By the way the German manufacturer is correctly pronounced "Zeemens" with a zzz sound although almost everyone says it like the male crewmembers of a ship

LNWR 730s have been delivered, they've been doing their testing on the WCML, usually between Crewe and Rugby

Berkhamsted would have nabbed you a castle too. Tring is quite nice, but not as you’ll have discovered very near the station. Berkhampsted next time…

I think the 730 was going to be maintained, hence why it wasn't in service.

Route 253 doesnt go to Euston anymore i think they rerouted it because they finally relised that they could take 30 from Euston to hackney central

No, 253 still goes to Euston. However due to temporary Thames Water works near Euston Station and Eversholt Street, its only going as far as Mornington Crescent.
