The oval hole in the bottom is the coin back to vendor hole. When the hopper if full (coins touching the level screws) in the side of the hopper. The coins will be diverted from the coin input to the vendor slot and into a bucket in the back of the machine under the slot in the bottom. That is the vendors profit and stops the hopper from overflowing with coins.

Disclamer: For educational purposes only.....That being said...If the tokens are slightly larger than the diameter of a quarter (1-2 mm) you can glue a small wire tie with the catch cut off on the coin size track to make it take quarters....(so i heard, from a friend, supposedly.. ;) ;) )

I found a Tairyo Japanese Pachislo slot machine at a Thrift store yesterday. I got it for 150. It wasn't working well at the thrift store but I took it home cleaned it and got it working in no time. It's working fairly well except the cash out button however the coin return works fine when I hit the right combo with the rolling pictures. I think it's just dirty so I may get in there and clean it with some alcohol and q-tips on the mechanical parts or try to find a local repair man which may be impossible in Virginia. I scored except for the fact that the key is missing but it opens fine with a flat head. Going to try to order a key for it. I just wonder where to get lights for it if they go out. Thanks for sharing your machines. I also noted on e bay they have a manual for everything Pachislo for about 17 bucks. Now I kind of want a couple more.

There are sensors in the hopper to see if there is enough coins for pay out. Also in the hopper there is a optical sensor to check the flow. On the underside of the hopper sometimes they come lose and the machine works fine untill you pay out.

Word of advice to anyone thinking of buying one. Check the laws in your state before putting down your money. I realized too late that in my state it is a misdemeanor just owning one and a felony to sell... because my state gaming commission does not differentiate between skill-stop machines like these and regular slot machines. Only choice I had left was to lawyer up and go through civil asset forfeiture. $400+ down the crapper.

I believe the posts next to the coin chute is how to get yer coins back if you decided to not want to play the game. ;)

Found a broken one for sale here a few days ago Since in couldn't find any arcade or pinball machines around to tinker with. Reset key switch had come detached from the pcb. Totally unsatisfying repair, I'd hoped for more tinkering. Oh well. Not sure I have any need for it now.

some of these sound like a yamaha psr especially the one when it gave that CE error that you thought was the hopper glitching up. Looks like different machines have different error codes. For example the Versus I have gives a CJ and plays a tune if a coin gets jammed, and it was throwing an H1 error when I got it too.

The button on the far left is a 1 bet button for 1 line on my machine. It's the same as the 1 bet button above it, at least that's what it does on my Tairyo Pachislo. You can push it for however many bets you want to place 1 coin up to 3 coins. It's funny because your first machine shown has the two extra buttons on the top left whereas mine only has the 1 bet and Max bet. On the inside door there is a skill button which I assume changes the skill level. Below the reset button on the power supply there are two switches in mine which I assume also make the game setting different. No clue what they do. My reset key has been removed and someone just pulled the little reset switch out so you can manually reset it by depressing a tiny button. I assume if the key was in it (which I did find the removed lock in the bag of coins) it would have touched that switch.

I acquired a Pachislo Triple 7 slot machine that does not spin, it had a E1 code which I cleared but the machine won't spin. Also most of the buttons seems operable except the max bet button. Any suggestions?

I just got the Savanna Park Pachislo machine very similar to yours (different picture on the lower backlit panel). Lucky me it was free, but it did not come with keys :( ... Wondering if you have fiddled with it enough to know if I could/should drill out the lock. If I drill out the lock will I still need a key to reset the machine for error codes?

Who else watched all the way to the end of the video to see if he could get the last machine to pay out?

Golgo 13 was a very dark nes game, it had sex scenes, people using drugs and incredibly violent as well. There was one scene in the game where you shot people and blood came out of their heads, this wasn't even changed for the usa release. Also there was one part of the game where there was cigarettes on the ground and if you picked them up your health fully restored. The sequel the mafat conspiracy was also very dark, there was cutscenes with golgo sniping people.
