Hi James. Great video. We are in the market for some new pegs, and these look very good and have different sizes for different applications. Thanks for sharing 👍 Paul and Sarah.

Hi James your pitch is probably the toughest ground I’ve come across, used in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines I think they’d be quite robust. We must remember we have steel pegs that bend and become unusable, nothing lasts forever.

Hi Colin, it was really tough ground, Agree ref the steel pegs, I have a box of bent ones that I need to straighten and I don't know how many times I have put steel pegs in to hard standing and they have just pulled straight out again. Thanks for watching. James

Hi James. I saw these a while ago. I think the steel versions seem the best. I think I would give the plastic ones a miss. Thanks for the demo. Phil🙂👍

Hi Phil, thanks for watching. I am looking forward to using them in more applications. Agree the steel ones very tough, I was surprised if used properly how strong tbe plastic ones hold. Happy Camping James

After seeing you first having to drill the ground and then struggle to get the peg in I think I’ll stick with the big steel pegs and my trusty lump hammer, it’s one of the few combinations which manage to break through the North Yorks Moors hardstandings.

Lol I know what you mean about the Hard Standings in the North Yorkshire Mors, I have found with using the steal pegs in Hard Standing that it can be hit and miss, I have found quite often that after hammering in, some tend to pull out quite easy, they don't seem to get a grip to the surface, that is what I found with the Peggy Pegs, I know in the really hard surfaces you need to pr-drill but they just seemed to grip every time. Thanks for watching and commenting, Happy Camping, James

@@CaravanEscapades101 it’s a standing joke at NYM site that you need a Kango breaker on some pitches, Ive found that when you can get them to go in they generally hold because the site is built within a small pine forest you usually end up going through a tree root at some point which once in are a nightmare to get back out. But I’ll give it another go at the end of this month after almost 25yrs of visiting the site I think I’ve just about got right.

@@jimaizlewood8369 Had the same issue at one of our sites in France last year, ended up imbedding a steel peg in a tree root and could not get it out, had to leave it in the end. We have been to NYM site a few times but not since covid, so need to have a trip back there.😶
