We got a NEW Bernedoodle PUPPY!

We got a new Bernedoodle puppy. We had to drive a total of 14 hours in one day to pick her up and meet her for the FIRST time. Our oldest dogs reaction to meeting our new puppy is the cutest. She’s excited about being a big fur sister.

you guys are lucky the dogs didn't become aggressive towards each other. All my friends who bought an additional dog, introduced the two in a remote location. Very important for acclimation.

plus introing right after the puppy arrives(when it should be given time to adjust) to another dog which has been away from family all day and is rightfully in High energy mode ..well.. you all are lucky if it worked . blessings on your family and pets

just wondering if you saw the mother and father of the pup? Seems like an Amish farm and they are notorious for Puppy Mills. You might wish to read about them. Your children are such a blessing!

You really need to have enough time on your hands to give them the recommended amount of mental and physical stimulation every single day. You also need to know how to properly train them (crate and leash training) as well as go over a multitude of essential commands (heel, sit, drop it, take it, leave it) in order to prevent any serious incidents in case of an emergency. I would also recommend that you really consider the financial aspect of having a dog (especially when they’re a puppy) because you’ll need to buy their food (quality dog food is usually really expensive), buy the right toys, pay for their vet and grooming costs as well as buy their essentials.

Temperament is also key! Do not get a bernedoodle if you are unable to keep up with their energy (it obviously depends on each individual doodle) or cannot be persistent in training! Bernedoodles are extremely smart but are sometimes hard to train. I would really recommend studying this breed before you consider buying/adopting one :)

I really think you're overwhelming the poor dog with your other dog and the kids constantly picking her up. The new pup is scared and confused. Please give her some space so she can get used to her new environment. Jezzz

I currently have a 8 month old mini poodle (almost 9 months old) and if I were to get another dog it would either be a mini goldendoodle, a mini labordoodle, a cavapoo, or a berndoodle.

This is not responsible. You should have brought the other dog with you and introduced in neutral territory. And you should have separated them emidiatly because that is howa fearful and agressive dog will happen.
