Super sweet trailer and at a nice price! I have the tongue box on mine that you were mentioning. Just a few things, the width is pretty narrow (yes, the largest HF box), and to mount it back more towards the trailer I welded in some cross braces to mount it to. The strut for the lid is nice, but it limits how far you can open the lid. I simply disconnected mine. Otherwise it is nicely made. Love it and any of the cars will be sweet on it. 👍👍👍

I use my plastic ramps, and back my truck up on, which puts my dove tail on the ground.

Nice trailer! I just picked up a 18ft Kaufman steel trailer the other day. It has the 4ft dovetail though and solid ramps so I get a nice angle on it.

That’s a lot of trailer for the price! Very nice. While your at harbie getting that tool box, pick up a winch too. Makes loading up broken cars sooo much easier. Just use a jump pack to power it when needed so you don’t have to wire up a battery.

Sick trailer and that’s a great deal! Mine is only a 7x16 and you got a better deal than me. I just threw a harbor freight 12000lbs winch on mine with a marine battery. It’s more than paid for itself already. I’ve been hauling a lot of equipment and vehicles with it on the side. I’ve moved prob 100 loads already and I’d say keep a few extra 2x4s handy. 🤘🇺🇸

I have a 20 footer and ended up also putting marker lights on front edge of fenders to know where the fender is when backing at night or in bad weather

Obviously the 7.3L Excursion is the holy grail of Ford family haulers. I bet a nice reasonable mile one would cost close to the same as Brew2l’s Suburban.

That’s a nice trailer, especially for that price! I don’t know why people hate, I see those suburbans towing stuff all the time. And you don’t have to worry about your bags and extra stuff getting stolen out of the back of a truck.

You need to check out vanguard motors. They have a ford f150 that is exact same color as calypso clone. I seen video of it yesterday. I think that would be awesome that truck towing your car

Perfect tow rig i use a Lincoln Navigator it’s a very comfy place to sit while towing I mean just because you towing something don’t mean you gotta ride around like a caveman

Nice tow rig, the one time mine had to be on a trailer for a show we towed it with our LTZ suburban on 35s, it done surprisingly well. We gonna drive our 55 year old junk to Ford Takeover lol

you said one day your gonna get a truck...…. venture into a 6.7 cummins or the 5.9 cummins, really easy to maintain and pretty easy to bump up the hp, I know it wont be a ford but I bought my truck for the motor...… its fun AF.

Awesome trailer... but I have a painting question. I painted my bumper cover and it looks like old man feet all cracked up can I use paint remover on it and what product can I use that won’t destroy the bumper cover...

Dont go too low with ur drop tongue bcuz the car, when loaded, will bring the front of the trailer down as well. Then the rear of the trailer will be low enough to load with no issues as well

If anyone is looking for a way to use the locking hook straps without welding on D rings you can drill a hole In the side of the trailer on a raised piece of metal with both sides open like at 11:04 Close to the top so you can fit the hook around it

Thanks for the video. Have you measured the tongue weight with the are on the trailer? I have a 2016 escalade 4wd. Just curious what the max tongue weight is for our vehicles to know if I should load the vehicle backwards instead to have most of the weight over the trailer axle instead?

When you put the straps around the rear axle tubes dose it rub the hard brake lines?

Make sure on the rear axle you slip the strap under the brake lines. Don't want to crush them. I am sure you know Brew2l some of the new guys may not.

You need a drop hitch not receiver.. Place tow vehicle in neutral and place the emergency brake on so you don't ruin your transmission.

I know ive asked a couple different times but never got a response. Where did you get your wheel spacers from? Ive got 17x8 cobra rs and want them to sit like yours but cant find the spacers yoy have. Loving the content man! Wish i could go to ford takeover but its kinda a far drive for my fox

Make sure your hitch is rated for what you are towing, that hitch seemed a bit small. I could be wrong but I rather be safe

Prefer using axle straps around rear and front portion of car over strapping the wheels. But I’ve dealt more with race car stuff.

Nice tow rig and trailer! I love the dual purpose for the fam! Question, since my 2013 front wheel drive explorer isn’t rated to pull my fox plus a trailer, I was thinking of getting a pickup for that purpose. I would need to go older (for the budget) would an F150 do it? Also... FT is a 9 hour drive in my fox but I’m thinking about coming...

Love the trailer, looks great. Would advise against the criss cross of the straps. They can chafe against each other and break. Also if one comes loose you gain slack in the system. Check out bleeping jeeps video on securing your vehicle on a trailer. It's very informative. Great channel keep up the great videos.

That's exactly what I was here to say. Do not cross straps. One fails and the car comes off. Bleepinjeep does a good video about it. "why I don't cross my straps"
