Hey everyone and welcome back. Today is a very very exciting day as we finally get a frenchie / french bulldog puppy after wanting one for ages! We got a beautiful Blue Fawn girl and we are so so in love with her already. Today we have a vlog taking her home, the car journey home with a new puppy and her first time in the house and garden. We are femchie owners. We lost our first frenchie last April 2023 she was 11 years old. We wish we knew what we know now when we got her 11 years ago. The bread is incrediable but known for ivdd spin issues. Try and not let you puppy jump off charis etc.. always use a harness not a collar to walk them . This causes major spin issue at older age. Also get angels bowls to help keep cervical spin strait when eating. These are all Hugh tips to stop future spin issues. That are very commmen in older age french bulldogs. We are getting our second frenchie daisy a blue fawn next Sunday. She is 10 weeks old also. Welcome to the wonderful world of fremchie owners. Great dogs 😅

Frenchies are the best dogs ever! They are so loving, sweet, and playful. My frenchie brings so much laughter and joy into my life. They are worth every penny.

She's absolutely beautiful! My boyfriend and I just got our little frenchie home in may, and she is so perfekt! Pls pls pls (you might already have this) remember to have a good insurance that cover airway- and soft palate problems, frenchies are well known to have some health problems!

She's absolutely gorgeous. I've got a 4 year old frenchie called Archie. I would recommend a harness for the lead instead of a collar as it's so much better for their airways xxx 💕

Please make sure you either get insurance or save monthly for vet bills as I have 2 french bulldogs aged 4 and 5 and the 4 year old has had health issues since he was a puppy. He was born with so many health issues which weren’t apparent when we collected him. Born with cataracts, has so many skin allergies and gets a lot of eye ulcers due to the fact their eyes don’t close very well because of their breed. We’ve just done cataract surgery and has cost us over £5000 so far and still got a lot to go as he now has ulcers on his operated eye. I hope you researched about the breed before deciding to go ahead as we did and it has still been challenging and upsetting seeing our poor boy have so many health problems since birth. I hope you don’t go through this but please research as much as you can so you are prepared! Enjoy being a frenchie owner as they are brilliant companions and have wonderful personalities

Hey! So sorry to hear all of that, sounds awful! 😔 do you feed him raw? Ive heard so many miracle stories about their skin and allergies after switching to raw. We have insurance for her and shes had a health check, her parents and nan are also health cleared too so she comes from a healthy background so fingers crossed we have no issues (getting health proof of the family history was very important to us as we was aware of the issues we could face) and thank you! She completes our lives ❤️

@@hazelwoodx I'm glad you got all the health checks done as thats very important. we did the same, we saw him with mum and brother and he looked fit and healthy and absolutely gorgeous so wondered why he was the last 1 left. we think now he was the runt as he's not the typical shape he's very tall and thin not like our other boy who is very stocky and a big boy! we do not feed them raw they have dry biscuits but now on a grain free dry diet due to skin issues and recommendations from our vets after he developed a lot of sores on his paws. I hope you and anyone else who has this breed doesn't have the issues we've had to deal with as at 1 point we thought he would go blind or worse due to his many problems. Enjoy the snuggles, the weird noises, the smelly farts and the slobbery kisses! through it all they bring so much joy and a wonderful family dog! x

Tracey Rowland I was going to ask what you feed him when you mentioned the skin issues but then Hazel said what I was going to. I would definitely research a raw diet for your dogs. With all respect to vets, they will always recommend some kind of dry food because they get sponsored by the big ‘dry food’ brands such as Iams and Royal Canin. They also don’t learn all that much about animal nutrition during veterinary school. Even grain free dry foods are really not good for dogs (or cats) but they are popular because they make life easy for owners. It’s much more convenient to pour dry biscuits into a bowl than prepare a raw food meal isn’t it? Poor diets just mean health problems in the long run! I really hope you’ll be open minded and research for yourself the benefits of a raw fed diet over the convenience and lack of nutrition from an unnatural dry diet. 😊

Frenchies and pugs have very similar characteristics, me and my boyfriend have a gorgeous little boy pug and my boyfriend was the same, he didn't really understand why I was so obsessed with pugs but then once he came into our family it's now my boyfriend telling everyone else how great pugs are and how special they are, Jordan will definitely be doing the same with little Lola 😍❤️

Sooo super exciting. Congratulations on your fur baby 🐶. My top tips would be. Alone time for her in her crate during the day. This will be her safe space for many months to come. Quality food. And we know how adorable they are but try to correct and unwanted behaviour from day 1 'no' and tons of praise with every bit of progress They need to know your the boss so simple sit, go mat training pays dividends Xxxx love my fur baby 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶. He's so calm & loves everyone 💙💙

Thank you so much for the tips! We have started introducing time in the crate during the day so I can cook/clean without worrying about her as the first few days we were with her 24/7 and couldnt get anything done. We feed her raw which I hear is bsst😊 and thats so very true! Awww i bet he is an absolute delight ❤️❤️❤️

Aww Hun. You will be amazing parents 💕💕💕. Some people think crating is cruel but honestly all dogs I know that use a crate are so grounded and happy dogs. I popped a few comments about some training on another tag for you Hun as asked 💕🐶🐶🐶 she is soooo canny. . I guess some cruel people could use them inappropriately but let's not even think about that 😡🙈

I have a 6 month old Frenchie and get use to him eating everything! Be very careful with anything you leave around because trust me they will find it and eat it! P.s she is so beautiful! Congratulations 💕

Shes a beaut! My advice, make her crate as small as the bedding needs. Dont let her wee/poo in there so take the pads out. The sooner she knows the bed is for chilling/sleeping and not peeing the better her bladder strength will be...But youll need to get up once maybe twice in the night for a week or so. Pays off long term :)

Thank you for the tips! She doesnt go toilet in there (hasnt at all) and she sleeps for 10 hours then I get her up to go loo and she knows to go outside. We have got so so lucky!!

Agree Gary doesn't it create a happy and calm fur baby. Especially during the day, good sleep in her crate and try and leave the room whilst we're in lock down, so she doesn't get anxious in the future. This will be her safe space for many months to come. If she bites you Yelp at her so sh knows it's not right. You won't believe it but you can even start sit and go mat etc training they are super smart. And shows them your the boss and she'll love you even more for it. Soooo exciting 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Hazel Maria Wood hi Hun. So near a food time, so they are a little hungry. Use something as a treat, tiny bits of meat or kibble to encourage her to work for you. Go mat is a good one, so a use a little towel, or her rug and have a her away from the mat just about 1/2 a meter. Then simply say 'go mat' and use your hand with a tiny bit of food to show her where you want her to go. As soon as she's on 'good girl and give her a treat. Then encourage her of and on just repeating. This will be good if you get any visitors you can say go mat and she soon will wait happily, keeping her safe from running out or if anyone is apprehensive around dogs. Sit... hold your hand like a stop sign, (keep it up untested sits) say sit and all at the same time in the other hand use the treat next to her nose and if you move it back slightly and very close to her she will move, to follow the scent and will likely go into a natural sit position, and again as soon as she does 'good girl and reward with treat straight away. In the future if your in a situation where you can't speak to her, you will be able do the hand sign and she'll sit without you having to say a word to her. Again to be able to keep her safe etc. For lay down just hold the treat again quite close to her face and say down as you move the treat slowly to the floor, repeat if need be, once she lays again good girl and reward with treat. Repeat these again and again every day. I used to do this for about 5 mins each day to start with. And increase the time until think she's getting bored And he thoroughly enjoyed his meal after being worked It's hard being a Pup lol. Some use a clicker too but my head couldn't add that bit in lol. There are a few puppy training videos on line. It's amazing how tiny and clever they are. Looking forward to seeing the practice xxxx Lou X

Frenchies are cuties. I strongly suggest some good pet insurance though, if you don’t have already as they tend to have a lot of health problems and can be costly. One of my friends has spent thousands on her Frenchie. Enjoy her 💓

Yeah we will get some 🥰 we have KC insurance for 5 weeks and will get it put in place before it lapses! So so important to have ❤️❤️

As soon as she wakes up put her straight outside and say going for a wee, or what ever word you want to use just so she will get used to it , , if she wakes up and gets restless try putting a old style ticking clock next to her, it's like mums heartbeat ...grass is ok to eat they eat it if they have a unsettled tummy , it makes them sick a little bit , then they are ok .. when we got our 2 chihuahuas we took them to the vets for their injections and to check them over ..xxx🐶🐶🐶

Thank you for the tips! Shes being so good with toilet she lets us know and we take her out first thing🥰 oh okay i was worried that she kept eating it! She also chews on it a lot. And aww ❤️ shes had her injections and a full health check ❤️
