The longer the boom the easier the chance the back lifts and can tip forward. You may want to counter weight the back of the hoist.

I'm not an Engineer - but the general rule for cantilevers is 3 times the backspan for the cantilever. I'm all for sketchy stuff, but damn, this could get painful and expensive, especially if the hoist base flips.

I found your channel recently when my Niece came to Visit from Tempe.
