I dont get how anyone is surprised when they hear this is a German band. This song in particular is the most German thing Ive ever seen in my life Id be absolutely gobsmacked if I found out there were NOT German. From the clothes, mustaches and mullets to the hard style euro trance to the Industrial metal sound. Its like you took every stereotypical 80s Germany genre added the very iconic German sounding metal and just rolled them into one fabulous chaos. As if Rammstein, Scooter, Hanz/Franz and Gunther all had a baby together. (Gunther is actually Swedish tho... but hes playing of the German stereotype)

Reason Hypa Hypa got such a reaction was because it was such a big entry point for a lot of people to Eskimo Callboy so first time ever seeing or hearing them for a lot of folk. So more recently all those people were expecting the wild ride.

6:34 the thing about Rammstein is that they want to sound German even when Till is singing English. There are videos of Richard Kruspe talking fluent English and you won't recognize him being German. Till's way of pronouncing words in that way (even in German) is a stylistic choice and in no way represents how he / they talk(s) in an every day situation.

Love your Eskimo Calboy reactions. If you want to dive more into music have a look at the swedish band Sabaton. I can highly recommend some songs like Bismarck, To hell and back, No bullets fly, Livgardet (or: The Royal Guard in English version), Christmas Truce, Fields of Verdun and many more... Sabaton makes songs about historic themes, happenings etc. - (military) history in an amazing good way. Really worth to listen to. By the way... they have their own Sabaton History Channel on KZfaq where they tell the facts behind the songs.

Muffin purper gurk is epic. It's about their hamster that was taken by an ex girlfriend and they thought she killed it. If you watch mc thunder 1 then make sure to watch it with subtitles. You will get the innuendo easier. Mc thunder 2 is excellent as well. Just fyi, all their older videos include the singer sushi (recently left the band) so it has a slightly different tone but still definitely Eskimo

EC is one of those acts that you recommend to someone, tell them NOTHING about and watch them be absolutely *blindsided*. We got the Moves and Pump it do that a bit better than this one I think. Or last year's Arrow of my love.
