Journal notebooks with pen holders make so much sense to me.. instead of looking for a pen whenever you want to write, it’s readily available anytime, anywhere.

Love the behind the scenes! And the hidden shapes are super fun, too. The long rectangle with the diagonal lines immediately below the pencil (on the cover) looks like an envelope to me.

Very cool to see the process (yes, I would lose my mind with the “dirty” looking one, lol) and the page numbers are absolutely perfect…they don’t scream at you or have a specific “design style,” yet are functional or ‘ignorable’ (in a good way,) for anyone to use or not use. I would take this to the office (agree on the ampersand redesign for the office) and being someone who likes things to be lined up just right, the smart marks are awesome! It looks professional, interesting and classy…everything someone who works in a professional office would want…with the ability to make it all your own, so you aren’t carrying around the same generic “planner” or dreaded ugly black portfolio that everyone else is. Well done, Mark and Heidi!!
