🌟 Welcome to Day 5 of our epic Icelandic adventure on the Ring Road! 🇮🇸 Today, we journey from the enchanting Eastfjords to the breathtaking Myvatn Lake District, but little did we know, Mother Nature had a wild surprise in store for us! 🌨️ Brace yourselves as we battle through a fierce blizzard that nearly brings us to our knees.
But first, we kick off the day exploring the charming town of Fiskafjorder, immersing ourselves in its unique culture and beauty. Then, we lace up our hiking boots for an unforgettable trek to Hengifoss and Litlandsfoss, where towering waterfalls paint the landscape with their majestic beauty. 🏞️
Afterward, we indulge in well-deserved relaxation at the Vök Baths, only to be greeted by the sudden fury of a storm that tests our resolve for a heart-pounding two hours! 🌊 Finally, we find refuge at the cozy Berjaya Myvatn Hotel, grateful to have weathered the storm together.

Wow the little waterfall running straight through the town. 😍We remember the drive up those windy roads. It was wild. Definitely would be scary to drive those in the winter. Shame you missed Gufu Falls because that one is pretty cool! The waterfalls you did end up seeing were pretty amazing. The snowy roads were crazy! That was a real nail biter. I think we would lose some years off our life just from the stress. You're so right about having to respect nature.

Lol and my wife amy is from buffalo and I grew up on long island so I never was scared in the snow there but the big drops and the whiteout conditions made it pretty scary. Also not knowing what you are heading into through the mountains. We thought the roads might be closed and then we get stuck but over all we remained calm and moved through it. Pretty memorable. Thanks for watching. That was a long one. I think the next one should be pretty quick.

You traveled to Iceland and found a Bob's BigBoy. PRICELESS😂 Dude those water falls were epic! I am glad you did not get hurt my friend. I would not like driving with all that snow. White out equals a hard pass for me. But, I understand you gotta do what needs to be done to keep moving forward. That was stressful looking. I'm glad you and Amy are safe.

We are! And amy was a star that day! It was hard because i wanted to drive but there was no shoulder and it would have been dangerous to swap drivers. A memory was made and it was a blessing that we had 2 days to rest. I was surprised that they had an unbranded bobs big boy. I so wanted a icecream but it was closed. They also dont turn the pumps off so that was convenient. We just filled up and got food at another gas station. ⛽️ lol Thanks for watching.
