We told y'all that if we hit 200K in donations for period poverty that we would get matching tattoos!
AND WE DID!
This was by far the coolest and craziest thing we have ever done! After days of research and thinking about what and where we wanted the tattoos, we finally scheduled an appointment! Y'all recommended the cutest tattoo parlor called Lilac Studios in Dallas, so when it came time, we went there! Don't forget to watch and see what we got!

When I saw it said "to whatever end" I FLIPPED OUT!!! Throne of glass is also my all time FAVORITE SERIES!! And if I ever get a tattoo, which I probably will in the future, the first one I'm getting is DEFINITELY going to be a throne of glass tattoo. That quote is one of my ideas, or the "live Manon, live/ we are the 13 from now until darkness claims us." OR it's going to be a throne of glass symbol, like goldryn, or the stag head or something like that. I actually found a tattoo that I absolutely love!! It's 3 symbols from her three different series, tog, acotar, and cc, put together. So it's the mountains/3stars, a crescent moon, and the stag head all put together. It's beautiful, and I will also most likely get that in the future.

Omg! Same here! I freaked out bc I hadn't realized it would be a bookish tattoo and I love SJM so I was super shocked. Aelin and Rowan are my favourite and it just really meant a lot to me. I agree with everything you said, so same!

Lilac is my all-time FAV studio!! It’s almost half an hour from my house and always a long wait, but it’s always worth it!! Loooove Dominique, Shavonne, and Jo in particular! Jo did my favorite spooky tattoo of the worm from Labyrinth, and Shavonne did matching bees for my mom and me!😆❤️

That is such a nice way to tie it all up, the period poverty trip, the twin matching tattoos and the final donation. The highlight of it all for me is the fact that the quote means so much to you guys (you sparkled saying it🥺💖)and obviously the fonts are really pretty. At least with my experience, all but one of my tattoos really hurt, but all of mine are full colour which is more painful/ longer time. (esspeciallly the one I have on my bicep) And yes so many people forrget to moisturize after the first week.

Couple things I wanna say!!!!!! I got my 1st tattoo 4 years ago and I was just as nervous. It WILL PEEL. IT IS NOT "loosing ink" (well it is but it's part of the healing process, you're not actually ruining or loosing your tattoo) 2. I haven't seen them yet but I'm sure they're gonna be beautiful!!! 3. Pain is temporary, the tattoo means something forever. 4. So happy for both of you!!!!!!!!! 5. USE SUNSCREEN AND LOTION A LOT. but I mainly wanted to touch on the peeling aspect cause I woke up the next morning thinking my tattoo was "falling off" but its completely normal!

don't over moisturize them while they're healing tho, you only need to moisturize them 1-3 times a day during the healing process. also for the first 3-7 days your tattoo needs to stay in the wrap, and you shouldn't put sunscreen on it (unless there's a tiny bit of it in your unscented lotion) until about 7-14 days after you've unwrapped it. --- To add to just things to know about tattoos! - Aquaphor & Vaseline are HORRIBLE for your healing tattoos (as they actually over moisturize and some artists believe there's something in them that eats away at the ink. - The type of machine your (Brooklyn & Bailey) artist used will actually make your tattoos fade faster. Those pen style machines don't get into the skin like a rotary machine, so you will deal with your tattoos fading more than usual, but it's okay to get touch-ups! Never feel ashamed if you need a touch-up!
