Buzzfeed's other videos on zero waste talk about smaller plastics not being recycled in the US. They could have easily washed the spoons in soapy hot water and re-used throughout the video. So wasteful.

Tessa Laszlo even if you would’ve wiped it off it still is very unsanitary for them to dip the spoons in other compartments of ice cream. The only way to properly disinfect it is to wash them, but that would’ve taken a very long time to wash the spoons in between every single flavor.

We serve over 500 customers a day! Metal spoons are impractical especially because people want to leave the store to shop in the mall. But all of our plastic spoons are recycled!

@@QueenTaraShay do you se the spoons getting recycled. Only 9% of plastic in the us accualy gets recycled. Not hating on your company but you should really invest in some wooden or paper spoons.
