So we traveled to East Asia to film a six-part series about beauty, style, and shopping and here is the 6th installment - in which we got a McDonald's Wedding in Hong Kong! No, this is not our real wedding, but this is a real thing that McDonald's actually does. Apparently, in Hong Kong, McDonald's got so many requests to host weddings that they now offer wedding packages - with an MC, catering, guest favors, apple pie wedding cakes, french fry kisses, and even balloon bouquets. So I figured, since Tyler & I are engaged - we had to stop by a McDonald's in Hong Kong and (sorta) get married there to see what it was like! What did you think of our McDonald's wedding?

angelofdusk13 Different culture. Also notice how clean everything is. It’s still MCD’s, but ran by people who take pride in cleanliness and a collectivist culture who maintains it. Meaning, customers will help keep things clean and will not litter.

In USA McDonald’s is a dump. They don’t have proper coffee and you can forget about pastries. In Montana they don’t even have muffins. Big let down.

@@eboniejane498 Yes, but in the US not all the McDonald's locations have The Self Service yet or Look like It has Eaten a Starbucks. They are getting there but it depends on each individual store. My Town's McDonald's was the first to get Self-Service in the US. And now looks like a McDonald's from the rest of the World. The US also Houses the OG McDonald's in Pasadena, CA and with that one they need open a new Location because the original is also a Museum.

I got married in a cave in the UK! Great way to cut excess guests as there was a limit on how many people were allowed down there, and as a bonus I got to ruin everyone's hair by making them wear hard hats. 10/10 would recommend.

Generally work ethic in China is *amazing*. They basically live by "it is what you make it". In other words, if you're miserable about going to work, it's going to be a miserable day. Find the fun in things though and you can have a blast even at work. Meanwhile, in most of the US work ethic is more like: "..I don't get paid enough for this."

This McD wedding has more happiness and fun than the $30000+ wedding I've attended. No family member fighting over the smallest of details, everyone's haveing a great time, relaxed, and bonded with each other, and going home as a new happy family.

My cousin's was in some random building (too long ago to remember) and it was just like an expensive party but super fun! My sister's was in the backyard and almost as fun! Everybody danced and the food was actually better at my sister's wedding. Food is pretty important, if you ask me.

Can confirm. My wedding was definitely not near $30k+, we got married in the yard of a cute colonial neighborhood community building, but it was a pretty stressful day because of all the family that were invited that for some reason are all estranged and disowned from one another but still talk to me. Somehow made it through without any huge scenes and I was able to really celebrate with my husband at the honeymoon :)
