It's the long-term influence of Scots Irish (what we over here call Ulster Scots) immigrants on American speech - for whatever reason, Norn Iron accents took hold and had more influence on accents in the US than the various accents from further south. But yeah, it's more pronounced in some people than others - I also don't have a very strong Belfast accent but I often get people asking if I'm from the US.

That’s so funny I was thinking the same thing while walking around my living room pantsless with the blinds open and vacuuming. I just froze in time thinking about it for the longest time like “am I doing something illegal? Aww, this video is so happy that it brought tears to my eyes! At the beginning of the pandemic I moved hours away from my friends group and we only see each other once a year (twice if all the planets align) and so being able to have a Girl’s Day vicariously through you was wonderful for me. You deserve all the happiness in the world.

I feel you about not being a fan of coffee and liking sugary goodness! 😂 I swear, I'm starting to think having AD(H)D comes with a sweet tooth, my friends and I all have it and grocery shopping together always ends with a sugar rush lmao Great vlog with your friends, really enjoying the energy you guys have together! With adhd, caffeine and sugar help with focus and general brain work-y-ness. I blame my energy drink habit on my adhd.

@@nyxdarkness1 True. For me caffeine does nothing too much, but energy drinks are almost insta sleep. I think it has lot to do how differently stimulants work between adhd braind, and neurotypicals. For some adhd folks those things like caffeine really make them feel more focused and grounded, for some it's like pouring gasoline in flames, but the flames just get extinguished 😂 And sugar can also help with getting more dopamine, since adhd people suffer from chronically low levels of dopamine, everything that feeds our brains literal reward center, rises dopamine levels and helps with focusing.
