I think it’s disrespectful to try and “parent” someone that’s older than you. They’ve literally more life experience than you and it would come off condescending to me to get parenting advice from someone younger. Even outside of the realm of parenting, if a fresh college graduate came into your place of business and tried to treat you as if they were superior, just about anyone would take an issue.
