Seems a bit of a distraction to the main purpose of the channel, IMHO. The property could end up costing a lot more energy and time (and expense) than you think having had a 5 acre property which I built on... good luck though. 👍 PS a lot more interesting than the van build... 😘

Wow! Portugal! 🇵🇹 What a brilliant surprise! Bem-vindo! Can’t wait to see the land properly! My parents drove a mini from Malaga to southern Portugal in 1983 where they fell in love with a tiny cottage which I now share with my brother…I adore Portugal and will be back there next week!

Hello! Obviously you haven’t been following our other videos! The new camper is currently waiting for inspection after the van build, we can’t use it until it’s been inspected and signed off when we then get all the legal paperwork! This is why we are using the older van that thankfully seems to be driving fine at the moment as long as we don’t take on too many mountains etc.. Thanks so much for watching..😁

Hi guys - before you sign any paperwork for land…If it is agricultural land you may not be able to build on it. If there is an old ruin - fine, 😊you - can build on it.

@@jacksg1809 WAS usually is not enough but maybe you can find a paper trail at the registrar / Camara office? Or remnants/ ruins of a building. This is very important if you would like to build at a later date. Agricultural is usually a no-no. Sorry - 30 years in Portugal

I visited Portugal for a couple of days ago. Went by flixbus, from south of Sweden to Bilbao, then to Porto, then to Lisboa. Didn't like ruins between rich's bungalows... My hotel looked nice, at the pictures, but it was located in a real slum area, near bus-/train station. And a taxi driver drove me around a little bit, until I opened google map with gps And told him that I used to be a truck driver in Sweden.. then he started to drive straight to the hotel. So I decided to go to south of France..

Hey guys, i Iived in castelo branco for 4 years and I am pretty sure that if you leave Vinny there he is gonna be stolen or stripped to his bone. Thievery and robbery is a big problem in Cb and is getting worser every year. In just one yaer I was robbed, my neighbour twice, a friend was robbed and another belgian couple also and this was just around my place for maybe 1 or 2 km around. I would be very careful, the thieves found out that offgridders have a lot of valuable stuff around like batteries, inverters etc and they love it offcourse.

Two days ago I saw a Millenium Transit camper identical to Vinny. I thought it was Vinny until I got close and saw it was a right hand drive with a 1990 Irish registration. I told you months ago that Vinny's engine was sounding great. You had all the trouble with him so he'll be good for a while yet. Whenever you get trouble with a vehicle, you start to think that it's never going to end but it's not always the case.
