Yooo I’d love seeing you redesign the guys! Some of the guys are really boring design wise in even the first gen-

I really enjoy these redesigns. I feel like they did my girl Clawdeen freaking dirty. They took away all of her fierceness and her love of fashion design and made her half human which to me makes no sense what so ever as well as making her the new girl, it’s just really lazy and dumb in my opinion. I also adore the more dark themes that gen one had. This more bright version of monsters high could have worked for me if they truly made them what they are- ie scary monsters with great personality with their freaky flaws and all. I gravitated to monster high because of how dark and edgy and different it was to Barbie because Barbie was everywhere and it was something I heavily dislike. I don’t enjoy the writing choices they took as well as the whole “multiverse” thing they put on which is to me a bad cop out. Your redesigns are really great! Not a fan of pink lagoona or overalls Clawdeen as well as I don’t enjoy blue haired Cleo from G3, however I do enjoy your redesigns. If I had the creative talent to redesign I would have just made a new cast of characters or followed Howleen and her group of ghoul friends if you really wanted a werewolf to be a main character in the monster high universe or just revamped gen one.

absolutely adore these designs! I’m a big fan of cleo's especially, the flapper look is one of my favorite styles ever. I think you pulled it off very well, n there’s actually genuine historical precedent for its similarities to ancient egyptian art (the bob, the heavy eyeliner, etc are all somewhat inspired by it). I think it’s interesting you mentioned her body type not fitting the aesthetic, since a lot of flappers WERE unnaturally skinny. many of them were on “cigarette diets” n the ideal silhouette for the time was essentially just a straight line as opposed to a curvier figure - there were no “snatched waists” really because the entire body was snatched - sort of similar to the “heroin chic” look from the 90s. I’m kind of infodumping now but point withstanding I think whether intentionally or not you actually matched the aesthetics of the time quite well :3

You should totally do more redesigns! Miraculous sounds fun but so does Winx!!

i'm glad you also wrote that Draculora is also Romanian, because I have the impression that people forget that she is not only Asian but also Eastern European, and I believe that the estern european reprezentation is also important, it's a pity that g3 Draculora doesn't speak with romanian accent or speak romanian, since she speaks Mandarin, it would be cool if she also spoke Romanian

the Frankie n Draculara designs r my number 1 fav lolol ofc Goulia is number 2, also i find it funny i related to Frankie alot as a kid and now im enby n Frankie is too XD(im also black and LUV the idea of Frankie havin multiple diff hair textures)

This was great; your choice to really think about how each character would feel in their body really cam through in both the fashion choices & their poses! I know this is low-hanging fruit, but Ever After High would be a fun one to see your ideas for. :)

cleos mom is alive..SPOILER ALERT FOR THE BOOKS IF YOU DIDNT READ THEM AND WANT TO-- ,in the monster high diaries series,it is revealed cleos mom comes back from being trapped in her tomb after the events of frights camera action and before boo york boo york cleos mom is cannon in the books,and the books take place during,after,and before the movies,the team made sure the timelines fit cleos mom is an archaeologist who dosent reallly like all the money and fancy stuff but she did teach cleo everything about being a good friend and cleos fashion sense,at the end of the book cleo realises that even tho she dosent like the things her mom does dosent mean she lovers her any less. nefera,her dead,adn cleo all have a good relationship with her,her name is dedyet de'nile. and you can search her up online to see what she looks like

She was heavily coded as Russian. Her uncles name is frostovitch and her cousin is blitnichik. People just cant see her as mixed and people are just slavophobic so they call it "nonsense" and "racist". She already was not fully asian, she had a oeruvian cousin that i find very interesting nobody whines about even if they know about her. Its simply because they dont like Russians
