It's funny because in jiu jitsu they don't have a grading system like karate, Tae Kwon do etc, and even belts are not glorified or sought after. My cousin trains BJJ and said you just striped on a white belt mostly and the instructor decides at his discretion when people get a high grade, there's no official grading lop
