Maybe your landlord is wrong.. most people (even Thais) think when you go to phuket, you will be eating expensive sea foods or western food.. when actually Phuket got lots of Chinese and Portuguese influences in food, cultures and so on (which Pattaya doesn't).. so those Thai-Chinese food, Southern food, Central food, and of course those Western food are actually what the locals normally eat, and the prices are around the same as in Bangkok honestly (50-100 baht/meal). I mean if you are not going to all those touristy places or too luxury everyday and live like locals then 500-1000 baht should be more than enough for a day, thats the reasons why there are more foreigners who lives here in Phuket.. From a local who studied stayed many years in Bangkok as well. Oh, also Phuket and 3 other provinces just got awarded for their food culture gastronomy this year from Unesco. Most importantly, Phuket is like a main spot that you can go to many of these world's famous Islands in the South.. which you don't really have much choices in the Central parts of Thailand. Beaches, mountains, Islands, festivals or luxury shopping malls, expensive/cheap of places to stay and foods.. Phuket has them all, and all you have to do is just pick the spots that suit your life style. That's why Phuket is still one of the top picked for the tourists over the years

Hi!!! Thank you for the kind words!! As far as car companies, we rented our car in Hat Yai and drove up so we don’t really know of many companies in Phuket. The airport supposedly has a TON of options though and you can rent motorbikes EVERYWHERE in Phuket. I know this isn’t the most helpful response and I wish I could be of a bit more help, but I will say Phuket’s a great place to grab a car and explore. Honestly Alan, that’s exactly what it’s like for the most part. At least Patong Beach is. We had no idea it’d be like that before arriving (really poor planning on my part😂). Phuket’s great, but we really fell in love with Koh Samui which is our next video!!

Kamala beach, Kata Beach all better and cheaper than Patong.

Man...when I tell you Thailand's the most incredible country I am not kidding. It literally has everything you could ever want (except maybe cold weather lol). There's just always something to see or do there, & the prices are so reasonable. We can't wait to go back soon. Thanks so much for watching our video Jack!!!
