Cryptid is a single-player horror fps game that chronicles an experienced hunter and a creature's encounter from the perspective of the Body Cam.

Game looks great! Well done! I think the biggest thing that needs improvement is the endings and maybe a bit more complexity in them as well. For instance, once you call in the Area 51 troops you have to help get the creature to their trap while avoiding them. ( You could even have the option to fight or sneak by them) For the trap getting propane from the gas station to fuel it would add some challenge. For the ship maybe once it’s fixed you have to lead the creature to the pod while avoiding the ETs or you get abducted… These are just quick ideas off the top of me ol noggin but the game looks great and Fooster def seemed to really enjoy it!

It was hilarious to see Fooster, who is usually all about finding a weapon or ammo, literally trying to manifest batteries for his flashlight in game. He actually sounded disappointed when he found some ammo and it wasn't batteries. LOL, I can't imagine how freaked out I'd be if I had to do this irl. On a side note, this game has the best flashlight I have ever seen in these horror games.

I actually had a flashlight like the one in game(with strobe included) but instead of just a bright and normal mode you could twist the part holding the magnifying glass to zoom the light into a point for further range, I found it on the ground in a Colorado town and it was labeled as unpatented weirdly enough had it for a few years before it suddenly vanished(knowing my family I wouldn't be surprised if it got stolen by one of them)

@@darkprime6815 - Yeah those kind of features are very common on many modern LED flashlights, especially 'tactical' style ones. For compact everyday carry I'm quite a fan of Eagtac's mini flashlights like the D25A 👍

The flashlight seemed like a run of the mill multi setting flashlight, rather than one of the expensive ones. For context, I do have one of the more expensive ones (relative to more than half the flashlights I have seen in stores) and the main feature of those is a rechargeable battery and multiple brightness settings (at least 5 along with turbo mode), rather than 2 like the one in the game. The flashlight I have is the Imalent R30c.

For car emergency essentials, a couple of inexpensive camping store survival/space blankets (those thin foil ones) are also good for a multitude of things including warmth, shelter from rain, privacy in a car and lifting and wrapping things like injured animals or people 👍

Always carry a flashlight. I have a flashlight, first aid/roadside kit, and cones in my car, lol you never know! I'm not asking to break down on the side of the highway and get taken by something in the forest. Have you heard some Park Ranger stories, nuh uh lol

I can agree about the flashlight being normal equipment in a vehicle. I carry one myself with an extra high lumen bulb replacement and extra batteries. On top of that I have a wide range of tools and emergency gear. Always adding to the load out as the need arises.

Definitely the best flashlight in gaming, ever! I actually collect torches, especially the higher end Lumens monsters. (Lumens are great, but Candela is more important.) I'm actually a member of the largest Flashlight forums on the internet. Great that you have a dedicated torch in your vehicle. I hope it's an LED headlamp though. If you need to change a tire or work under the hood, you definitely want both hands free.

yup since i was a kid my parents taught us to keep a flashlight/good thick blanket/extra pair of socks/boots/and i personally added a few cans of beanie weenies in my kit. along with a pretty extensive medical pouch.

I have to say it, I hate watching people stream in survival horror games, and they don't CLOSE THE DAMNED DOORS!!! You walk in from the outside, you should close the door behind you so that you will have at least SOME warning if there is something coming in from behind.

Honestly , Fooster and Fisk should meet up and do a real life cryptid hunt. I think that would be a hilarious video. Hell if they ever come to America, I think all of us fans in the US would love to host them. Never been on a cryptid hunt but I’m not making the same mistake as the people in video games and movies, I’m bringing a crap ton of flashlights/batteries …….. and firearms , lots of firearms 😂
