I used to try to give these people the benefit of the doubt. There is no longer any doubt.

When my brother told me he was gay and in love with his college roommate, my response was not one of hate, or distancing from him, but to embrace and join in with his joy. That was over 50 years ago. My wife of 48 years 8 months sadly passed. My three sisters divorced. My brother and I were the only ones that believed in our commitment. We don’t decide who we will love. It just happens, and if it was meant to be it will last.

Klepper is the king of this mode of interview, but Luke is getting better every day

I'm liking Luke's interviews. He's calm, friendly, very approachable. He doesn't insult or chastise anyone. The examples he gives, such as the Taylor Swift one, are simple, easy to understand yet effective.

Almost speechless at this madness, their brains are pure mush. Its hard to try and process it to even complain about it properly. This is why people end up in a physical fight because there is no way to get through with words, no safe space of middle ground reality. Edit: Luke is amazing!

Luke is like an angel, so patient and chill. He shows a mastery over himself that I as a 58-year-old man have not achieved. I piss those people off really quick even when I'm trying to be diplomatic. They say some really stupid stuff and it's hard to sit by. Sometimes of business purposes I have to just clam up if somebody starts talking about Trump because I've seen too many screaming matches at work involving me and another person. Sometimes my eyes will bulge at the blindness I hear coming from the mouths of people. I gave up trying to talk reason to them. The average Trump person out there is not going to go ballistic when their beliefs are questioned but there are some that do and unfortunately they seem to live around here. I remodel homes so I go in people's houses and I see their Trump hats etc. You meet a girl you think she's really sweet and then you find out she loves Trump. You might have figured out she wasn't a genius but you didn't think she had a rotten core. That may sound very harsh but what else is it that attracts people to evil. These people probably consist of a lot of religious fanatics. By fanatics I mean that they actually think that shit's true. Lol this guy is I know is still harping on antifa, he calls them fascists. It's actually beneath me at this point to point out that their anti-fascists. I don't necessarily agree with their tactics because I think those people need to be ignored and discounted not given a spotlight that can just be turned around in a slimy way and used against them by the right wing which stokes more distrust of the left. I was afraid that our side the anti-fascists would go to the January 6th rally in DC. I was adamant that we just let those assholes show what assholes look like. Don't you let us become a distraction from their bad behavior. I think what Luke is doing is great though. I think he can plan the seed whereas I just drive them deeper in. Perhaps I'm just old and cantankerous because my joints all hurt. Lol

i LOVE his interview style. taking people off guard with a calm, soft spoken demeanor is a deeply underappreciated way of getting hostile subjects to open up and actually engage. The way they refuse to accept reality is how they treat their family with serious interpersonal issues, as well. These people are dangerously unwilling to learn or accept facts and it's not restricted to politics.
