The song Yeon joon sing was written in the 20s when the Korean peninsula under control of the Japanese colonial power. It was being quickly viral and sung by Korean people not just because of its emotional, nostalgic lyric but also because of hope of independence and peace. Although the songwriters serviced the colonial government in the 40s, it remain until today the most popular country (?) song of the people. Every Koreans, south, north and abroad, young and old, know the song. When the families who was split to north and south at the Korean war met in the 2000s again, they sing together this song. So it's that song every Korean has her own story about.

every time I hear Yeon Joon singing, I broke into tears..He just took my heart with his pure and soulful voice. I am very sensitive when I see people crying. and Yeon Joon just make me cry again... I really hope the people there appreciate and cherish this child and protect him at all cost and by all mean.. he is such an angel.

This was time that he felt so burdened because he was the one given the solo singing and he felt like he has to do all he can for his group for them to win, that's why he really cried. He's amazing. I wonder how he is now? I hope his throat is okay now.

From the episode 1 up to now this kid made cry. Such a beautiful voice. Felt like an angel singing. :)

From what i saw, i think the kid's throat was hurting. And he hoped for a duo stage since he didnt want to pressure his voice alot. But he got solo instead ( one contestant picked pink team. But she couldnt go on as she was sick. ). Just made this even more touching. The boy still tried his hardest even while his throat hurts. And luckily, he got a soft song.

I have listen to this song for 40 years and never cried or touched like this one.. I left my Korea hometown for 25 years and this make me think of my old time in my hometown once again.. We went to back mountain to catch frogs, play in waterfalls, search for any vacant area to play soccer, eat many different kind of street food and it was always with friends. Weekly, I went to Sauna with friends and played in cold water tank and elders always hit us on the back to not to play in there etc.. Thank You for the song!!
