You need to balance your rim on a 5-gallon bucket with the outside of the rim facing up hook up your air hose in blasted with your chute

Putting dish side of rim in 5gal bucket and air blaster works good. Because rim off the floor and tire bead up against the rim and should seal up on that side.

On that service truck, that oil filter was popular in the 70s and 80s they went away from them in the 90s most of the trucks that had then have been changed to the new style filters we change ours on our 359 just a lot simpler

I have best luck with putting the tire and rim up on a 5 gallon bucket when i go to put air in them and we have a 10 gallon woofer and that works way better than a 5 gallon.

When u use ether to put a tire on the bead it works best if u have the air hose hooked up with constant air pressure then lite the ether

i worked in a tire shop for 6 years or so we took a old compressor holding tank welded a 2-1/2 inch threaded pipe to it hooked a high pressure hose about 4 ft long to the threaded 2-1/2 welded pipe then took a 2-1/2 inch pipe welded a good handle on it smashed the tip a little and connected it with a ball valve in between it to the high pressure hose and had a 55 gallon air blaster for airing up truck tires and heavy equipment tires you just had to make sure you didnt bump the valve by accident 😂

If you run into that tire situation again, try putting a ratchet strap around the tire. (on the tread) That will compress it and squeeze the sidewalls out.
