When cops Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) join the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go under cover as high-school students. They trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, and set out to shut down a dangerous drug ring. But, as time goes on, Schmidt and Jenko discover that high school is nothing like it was just a few years earlier -- and, what's more, they must again confront the teenage terror and anxiety they thought they had left behind.

Fun Fact: Johnny Depp actually hated 21 Jump Street by the time he left the series, so when they asked him to cameo for the movie, he said he would only do it under the condition that his character get killed off.

Little off topic but, when they made the first bust, and the charges had to be dropped because they didn't read him his Miranda rights - the supreme court just issued a ruling in the state of New York that no legal punishment can be brought by a victim against a law enforcement officer who fails to read them their Miranda rights anymore... So yeah that's awesome...

honestly I’m not even kidding but this is by far one of the best comedy movies ever! I think If you’d make a „top 50 movies you have to watch in your life- list“ for every film genre this definitely would be higher up on the comedy- one. Damn such a brilliant movie. Comedic timing and everything was just perfect in my opinion

Actually the 80s tv show that this movie is based had Johnny Depp in the lead role. I used to love that show! 33:18 And you all figured out the Johnny Depp cameo. 😊 That character that he plays here is the same one that he played in the tv show. Oh, yeah. Those guys at the end played by Johnny Depp and Peter DeLouise were Officers John Hanson and Doug Penhall, from the original 21 Jump Street show. I remember watching that show as a kid and getting a kick out of their cameo, especially since they die.

This actually happend to me. I was an asshole in school at one point and was bullying a kid. Not hard-core, but not good. Then I realized I was acting out due to problems at home. I asked him to hangout and we became best friends. Had all the same interests. He ended up going to the military, I went to work on a farm. That was the one an only time I bullied someone. If you ever find yourself picking on someone, be careful. They might just end up being your best friend.

Do you want to know a fun fact? This movie was developed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, they went onto make the Lego Movie in 2014. 2 years after this movie came out, and our leads in this film, acted by Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill made a cameo in the Lego Movie with Jonah hill as green lantern, and Channing Tatum as Superman. They weren’t around long but long enough to understand the reference and get a good laugh.

Brie won an academy award for best actress in 2016. Brie was in a three minute post credit scene for Avengers: Infinity Wars. This is her introduction to portray Captain Marvel in a Avengers: End Game, which gave her own movie as “ Captain Marvel” in 2019. BTW: The drug dealer at the high school, is actor Dave Franco, the young brother of actor James Franco. James is real BFF’s of writer/producer/actor Seth Rogan.

Motorcycles can have saddlebags which he could search. Don't have to be read your Miranda Rights until an officer attempts to question or interrogate you. If stabbed don't pull it out unless necessary until you get to the hospital and drinking alcohol would make it worst as alcohol thins your blood and would make you bleed more.

OH GOD. It's the Mcquaid brothers! I didn't recognize Hoffs at first though. This movie must not be cannon though because in 21 Jump street Penhall and Hanson were still alive by their 90s and they both quit being cops. Hanson because he knew he needed off the force and Penhall for Clavo. I think it's funny but it's not cannon, imma clarify that.

Awesome react, one thing I do have to say is, (im not justifying the situation at all, cause the age gap is still a big age gap especially at Brie Larsons charachters age) BUT she doesss say that she is 18 when Jonah is on the phone with her. SO Jonah would/could get kicked off the force, get some dirty looks, but he probably couldnt get prosectued. (For statutory anyway).

The Mcquade brothers or however it was spelled were the actual identity of Johnny Depp and Peter Deluise which are the 2 guys at the end obviously from the original show. Peter Delouise was actual a better actor in the show than Johny Depp. The cop woman that gives them the cool car is the first co worker that helps johny depp teenage up with outfits because he used to be a patrol man and got his old partner shot and then gets transfer to this unit where he meets the jump street team and the slow mo at the end of the high fives was almost at the end of every episode with the same exact short and fast drumbeat
