At one time we lived on 50 acres in Oregon. So much work. And we didn’t even maintain it all, we shared most of it with our neighbors to use as extra grazing/riding land for their horses and goats. My favorite memory was all the blackberry bushes, I used to eat so many blackberries my fingers were always stained. Drove my grandma crazy lol

I love this series. Everyone has a different living style and to see it is amazing. I've lived all over the place in my life and it's really cool getting to experience it all. Also, that cow call. 😂😂

I would have been so happy if I were them. I am from a big city, but I used to spend a lot of time on my grandma's farm when she was still alive. I miss the horses and making hay and moving the fences and just being in nature :(

I think everyone can attest to the fact that both Niki and Garrett complain. Different living situations from time to time can take a toll on anybody. I personally think it's the degree to which they complain. In comparison Niki complains more (at least by the editing standards). However, her complaints come off a bit harsh/unknowingly hard at times in these edits, whereas Garrett's demeanor as he complains is softer. That could just be the way they speak and if so, that's totally cool. I can feel for Niki, and I can feel for Garrett too. I'm just glad that in this episode you can see them both kind of come together because of the difficulty of this particular living situation (they're city people -- it's to be expected) and complain about the same thing. I'm hoping from this point the newer living situations ahead bring them closer together as friends.

This is my dream life, well one of them. I am split between a ranch and a city. I rlly wanna skate but i LOVE working, i love being tired and getting a little dirty, a little hurt, being around animals and growing crops, the sweet life.

It’s ironic how almost all the comments about complaining are complaints about people complaining about Nikki or Garrett (which by the way are almost non existent)

This was probably the coolest visit out of the series! It's really nice to see the work required and how different it is compared to living in the suburbs or the city. Even though it requires a lot of work, I'd love to have lifestyle during the summer. It's beautiful and peaceful! There's nothing that compares to living in nature and having to care for it like your own family.You learn so much from it, rather than having everything handed to you.

I never really put thought into how different Cali raised people are from southern raised people because all of this stuff genuinely looked fun and nostalgic even when they were cleaning the saddles, and they were frustrated the whole way through haha

Such a great series. I grew up going to a working cattle ranch every summer and rainy days were spent doing 'ranch work' just like you guys did. Oiling saddles brings back memories. Can't get the smell of neatsfoot oil out of your nose for a while.

I work at a vet clinic here on the Navajo Reservation and I absolutely hate working with hoofs, especially when it involves bucking bulls and bucking horses😂. Other than that, everything else is fine. Horses and cows are absolute sweethearts except when giving basic exams and wrestling with them. Yet my family says my job is “easy” knowing that one wrong move (measuring for weight or getting temps) and the animal could kill you IF they wanted😂. It’s always nice seeing how others react around cattle, I always thought I was the only one who was freaked out by them before working with them😂.

I love the couple you stayed with and I love how your friendship is growing. These videos make me happy. Please do many more. England sucks right now. You help. Hugs xxxxx

Okay. There is a a lot of hate here. And yes, Nikki complains. But they’ve never been through that much work before. It doesn’t mean they were ‘privileged’ (although maybe they were). I have so much respect for all you ranch hands, but give them a break.
