I know it's not real but this makes me feel such a profound sadness. I think it just feels a bit too real. Seeing the earth slowly withering before our eyes makes this future seem like a very real possibility.

You heard it from a distance but there was only one house that had a ladder that wasn’t destroyed,it had some sort of light. You instantly ran to climb the ladder hoping and begging there’s someone there.. You collapsed on top of the house . You see a person in a helicopter.And you instantly come in crying and they start to join to . You all laughed and cried as the radios start fading .”what a day” you say.

This reminds me of a dream I had where I was in New York and everyone was pushing and rushing as I heard the nuclear sirens and I went with them and as the bomb dropped I saw a flash but I wasn’t dead just pain lots of pain and I saw the city looked completely destroyed and falling apart with the Statue of Liberty’s front completely destroyed and I started to hear music like this except it has different lyrics it was difficult to make out i couldn’t tell but it seemed to be in German cause I heard a few words i learned when taking German in school

POV: You’re in a ruined New York as you are fighting you get separated from your squad. Alone and fearful of the looming threat that could attack at any moment, you hear a radio starting to play in the distance. The last strands of your sanity snap as you listen to the music. You forget why you are fighting. You ignore the gunshots from around you. And you just start to joyfully dance in the ruined plaza.

i watched a documentary about 9/11 in my social studies class once, and it showed a recording of the plaza in between the two towers after the first tower was hit. in the background you could hear the faint cracks of corpses hitting the ground from the top floors. the atmosphere sounds in this video kinda remind me of that. or it could just be gunshots, idk

So here we are. The heavy clanking steps of my power armor is suppressed by the rain that is falling onto my helmet as I roam what's left of our world. This wasteland. The radio in my suit is broken yet this song still plays. I feel a sense of rexalation as it chimes into my ears. I start to relate to the lyrics. I have a feeling that we're going to meet again sometime. But it's not true. She's dead. I still roam the radio active dirt pile that is left. Whitout her.

If I woke up after a 50 year coma to find the world was destroyed by WWIII and humans not turning it around, I would be thoroughly disappointed, and also creeped, and then I find an old radio blasting this song, I would just start up a campfire and chill with this on, sitting there, confessing my sins to god even through I’m atheist, then sit infront of the fire with this on, waiting until I die.

There’s something haunting about the idea of this being the specific song that plays on loop, echoing into an empty, ruined world with no one left to hear it.

I like how it went from global cooling to global warming to climate change within the span of 30 years. A new politcal veiw for the masses every ten years. And a new dooms day date every 5. I think pollution should be our main concern. Not the fact that our climate isn't, never has been, and never will be, stable. music is good tho and the video has good details

Okay imagine this but with like a voice singing along with a shaky breath, maybe that someone would be rocking back and forth, trying to comfort themselves as the world has ended. Probably a young person that was left alone by the downfall, maybe their parents would have gotten killed or something during this. Maybe they're waiting for them and slowly realizing they'll never back.

This is one of my favorite songs, so to hear it like this is oddly comforting yet creepy. I think it may be because the song is such a happy song, so it being played during this setting is really a juxtaposition to the situation. Especially since the last line "One sunny day!" Is staticed out
