It is amazing! Aaron is so talented! Congratulations, unbelievable. Again, you just keep inspiring me with your hard work and dedication 🙂 Did you work at the evenings on this project, or in the working hours? If so, did it cost the company a lot and in addition to closing down the studio for 3 weeks? Is Aaron working full-time at Vjus, or do you hire him based on proects like these? Too bad you have to tear down that beautiful set, that has to hurt a lot to see all that passion, hours and time dissapearing.

Bro new Rotterdam in Nepal is absolutely fucking batshit insane and I love it

This ... this is the promise of virtual production for smaller filmmakers! Your first test (the window) was a nice proof of concept but a little unbderwhelming. The Nerdforge collab BLEW MY MIND but really showed the limitations of your small set. This ... this is what I expected you guys to try from the start. On anbother tangent ... I love you guys (huge fan, I have a few dollars put aside for when you do a fundraising for your first feature ... you guys and Film Riot ... why have neither of you made a feature?!?!?) and I'm a big fan of AI (I use it for tons of things) but saying that the way you used AI isn't stealing jobs ... two words: "concept artists" and "storyboard artists". Those are the people who's jobs were replaced by AI in this project. Sure ... you may have gone to a mood board instead or something like shotdeck instead of hirring a concept artist or storyboard artist but generative AI is going to replace a lot of jobs even if it doesn't eliminate jobs it will allow people to do jobs that would take days in minutes reducing the need for certain positions drastically. Concept artist, matte painters, inpainting for vfx, roto work is already made stupidly easy with rotobrush 3 / magic mask / runwayML. I've used Stable diffusion to do inpainting on some VFX shots for a client's little fan re-edit. Worked amazingly well. I'm teaching myself game design in GODOT making a turned based RPG type thing and 99% of the art is going to be generated through Stable Diffusion using a plugin for Krita so I can guide the result with my own sketches. Like I said, huge fan of both you guys and AI but AI is the new indsutrial revolution and many of us are the pottery maker and shoe maker looking at the end of our livelyhoods, replaced by machines. I say this is a web developer for a federal department that ha been at meetings and confrences about AI and have seen the tools that will replace me within the next 5 years.

Mirror expert here. You should never clamp down with wood like this. This will cause the mirror to bend at an octogodecimal angle which will create micro-fractures along the longitudinal vertebrae of the reflective surface. That's gonna ruin your image disperse the light everywhere! What you want are these specific felt clamps that cost 15,000€ each (you need at least 6) and are only made by one dude in Switzerland. 15:09

how about cgi rendered graphics rendered on top of real green screen environment. yep, real actors, real geometry, but rendered surfaces in post. I mean shaped green screens with location/id data. and real camera data but in green screen city. scifi production technique fits scifi films better. less actual, more virtual. tron++. any green screen is either fully opaque blocking vision or partially green with transparency. the id/marked green screen walls and surfaces are textured later in post.

I love the sets! But the promos... the AI generated images in Emma's newscast kinda kill any sense of "real": we wouldn't see "paintings" in a newscast, and that's what they look like. The depth of field in the watch commercial is also pretty bad. Maybe the blurriness needs to be dialed down. A lot. Your stuff is so cool and inspiring!
