Kristin! Use an old shaving razor on your hems to fray them :) It's also a neat trick if you want to distress an old t-shirt

As a seamstress I would hem the ends of both pairs of shorts by rolling up about a 1/2 inch and sewing them with gold thread.

I agree. The cut off look could be cute, but that will only work with traditional denim. Both of theirs appeared to be a stretch denim which will not get that cut off fringe look, it will just start to roll up or fall apart. Also, they didn't reinforce the stitching on the leg seams, which means they could start to come apart there.

Denim isn't a fabric that tends to fray continuously, it forms frays which are often fashionable and desirable. We also can't be sure if it's true denim, it could be a chambray. However, I would have liked to seen some measuring, pinning, marking and accurate cutting! As cute as the embroidery patches are on Kristen's shorts, the crotch is disproportionately longer than the outer leg seam! Swiss and seamstresses everywhere, screaming!

I love Kristin and Jen!! They are both so funny and sweet, I love seeing their friendship. I love that Kristin is always willing to try pants even though she doesn't like to wear them. She's so confident in herself, she's an inspiration. Jen is awesome too, she seems to stay true to herself and her own style. Much love to them and to the rest of the Ladylike team!!!

I am having a horrendous day. Anxiety is through the roof and I can feel I want to crawl into a dark hole and stay there. Being a Mom means “Nope to that!” This video has made me feel so much better. Thank you so much for being unapologetically yourselves and just living and loving life to a capacity I find I cannot achieve not now. Probably not ever. This has made me smile which is a pretty substantial achievement today.

Those shorts are going to fray so much. Please sew the hems, use fray check glue, or use pinking shears to stop the fray! It makes all the difference. I've been secretly wanting lady like to do more sewing videos since the one with Sofia. Please do more!! Sewing is so fun!
