I’m looking into starting a little something like this with my own designs, good to know this machine seems to be durable! How much trouble do you have getting a clean, low visibility stitch for the hook and loop backing?

our brother se600 has 5.6 million stitches lol we got the machine 8 months ago lol we also do patches.

What is the tension number that you use..

mine s almost always just set to normal.. if there is a very think or extra thck thread I might change the tension.. not sure if it auto determines the tension or it just doesn't need much adjustment either way you should not need to adjust it very often

Mine can’t even embroider a circle. It comes out looking like an egg. Brother refuses to fix it.

Oh no! Is it new? That's so unlike brother. Did you get it online? There are shops that repair brother. They are very common. If it's under warranty and you paid w a credit card, contact the company.
