Maybe you should add a list of generals that will give some bonuses in the game (faster coin earning, lower chance of missing, faster XP earning, etc) and make them cost medals? You can even change their names to silly puns like "Paul von Hindenstick"

I think each faction should have a different perk. For example the Germans have better tanks, or the French have better defenses.

Suggestions: 1.) Add the ability to put barbed wire in no man's land that could maybe slow movement speed (Maybe something the player can unlock in the research tree) 2.) Make the LMG gunners able to lay down when attacking an enemy trench and lay down suppressive fire? (Maybe a tactic that could be unlocked from the research tree) 3.) Make the movement system a little more advanced. Like able to move specific kinds of infantry instead of all of them at once. So if you want to attack with shotgunners but have LMGs and rifles, maybe bring a little popup next to the advance/retreat buttons that has a symbol of which troops you want to move? 4.) Add grenadiers as another class (Like maybe troops with the ability to throw one grenade during a charge) but make them expensive so it's not economically viable to spam them Great job, you guys! This is shaping up to be an awesome game! And I love your content, Baron!

I think an interesting anti tank effect could be a chance the tank gets stuck while crossing over a trench. This happened especially with early tanks so it could help balance them a bit.

Also barbed wire which slowes down infantry and gets tanks stuck. Then you need an engineer (who can also plant barbed wire) to remove it from the tank, so ut can move again

Suggestions.1.Add flamethrower units 2.When units are hit they have chance of surviving and being wounded,add medic units that can heal them 3.Make officers having abilitys officers and they cost stars (for example air support or bayonet charge) 4.Morale:If in boat sides morale drops units will get debufs and if it drops to 0% then ai or player lose 5.Multiplayer-Player vs Player 6.Add more factions and every faction has special units 7.Add anti-tank units 8.Use ideas from Warfare 1917 9.Use ideas from Trench Warfare 1917: WW1

Reconnaissance Biplanes: Adding a fog on war so you can hide your troop movement and hinder artillery bombardments would be amazing! It makes you fear charging the enemy trench because you are worried about their secondary trench line storming forward. Reconnaissance Biplanes would grant temporary vision for artillery and help you plan out attacks! I think they would make a great addition to this game both on the offense and defense!!!

This would be sick! Imagine filling your front trench in sight of the enemy knowing it was going to be gassed and shelled to oblivion, but you prep a second line with tanks ready to retake the front trench when the enemy charges into your trap!!!

Suggestion: 1. You could allow riflemen to use grenades, that you can unlock in the skill tree, to combat multiple targets. Or maybe add grenadiers 2. Riflemen could use a bayonet when charging enemy trenches, kinda like a spear that can shoot

Suggestions: 1. : When the machine gunner runs to the trench but doesn't get there because he stumbles into a couple of enemy soldiers (4:13) , it would be realistic if he would take out a pistol to shoot them.(Sorry for my bad english) 2. : Add an Flamethrower soldier 3 : If a soldier gets hit, then there should be a 15% chance so that only the weapon gets shot so the soldier switches to melee mode. 4. Add zombies

Suggestion: If you add the Russian army just like in the real war they should start under equipped but very cheap to produce, eventually (maybe using a research tree) they get alot of supplies and are over equipped and powerful but by that time they lost alot of soldiers making them expensive. A final trademark to make would be their determination against the Germans maybe by increasing the chance of hitting them or increase the miss chance or something like that.

Suggestions: 1. Maybe I'ts an idea that you can lay mines down on the battlefield (or that a minelayer does that). 2. You can also add a soldier that has a flametrower. 3. Instead of a machinegun, you can also have the choise to have a morter. 4. barbed wires are also an idea.

In WW1 mines didn’t exist in the traditional sense. Instead, engineers would tunnel under enemy trenches and plant explosives. Before an attack, it would blow, destroying a section of enemy trench. Undetonated ‘mines’ are likely still there, buried on the Western Front.

I meam, mines was introduced to the red army, sorta, during he revolutionary of russia, (Ussr), in the war, there was some mines against the white army, if im mistaken, it was during the civil war?

@@carrott36 You're right, Mines were indeed used that way for the most part of WW1. After WW1 the landmines were getting more and more popular. I don't know if landmines were used in the end of WW1, but landmines were definitely used in WW2.

Maybe the tech tree could give you an upgraded version of your troops, like adding bayonets to riflemans, semi automatic pistols for officers, perhaps better armor for shotgunners etc, smaller upgrades that may seem small, but can make a difference on the battlefield

3 Suggestions: day/night cycle, you can see in the dark in a small circle when a unit fires a flare but if no one fires a flare you can see where the muzzle flash from a shot comes from. But the enemy’s can see yours to. 2: ARTILLARY units, it req 2 soilder and needs to be built but it can do some good damage and give shell shock to enemy’s slowing them down. 3: Flame trooper, low health but can take out a trench with ease

Idea for Officer: Rather than only giving troops in its aura gas masks, it creates a corps that the player can control individually. This way, the player can attack with one corps, while keeping another back to defend. Right now I think the officer needs a change, specifically one that allows more player control, as the placement of the officer is random, so the player cannot control which soldiers get gas masks, essentially making the purchase of multiple officers pointless.

Suggestions: For factions you could have French, Russians, Austro-Hungarians, and maybe Ottomens. In the tech tree you could have running speed increased The map could have mini trenches that don't go across the whole screen or hills for cover And a special ability like a German 10 second speed boost or British artilery barrage that cover an even wider range Special units would also be fun to play with.

My ideas, with default counterparts British - Ottomans French - Germans Russians - Bulgarians Italians - Austro-Hungarians Americans are excluded due to their lack of available counterpart. Tanks pose the biggest challenge, as only France and Britain have enough tanks and only Germany captured enough tanks. I think cavalry would be needed, a small troop of cavalry armed with machine guns or horse artillery to replace tanks for the Ottomans, Russians, Bulgarians, Italians, and Austro-Hungarians. While I don’t want to include it for Italy and Austro-Hungary due to the mountainous terrain they fought in, I just have no other options. Ability Ideas: British - Better income (Vast naval power) Ottomans - Stronger cavalry (Middle East desert fighting) French - Cheaper tanks (Renault FT being the most produced tank) Germans - Better trenches (They had, well, better trenches) Russians - Very difficult (Tsar Nicholas existing) Bulgarians - Very difficult (Like, what did they contribute?) Italians - No idea, I need something here Austro-Hungarians - Also stumped, need help as well

You could also change units composition based on faction (or at least make it an option in settings). During WW1 only Germans used SMG's, and shotguns were brought by Americans.

Suggestion: At the moment you can only add a machinegun to a trench, and the only true anti-tank option is precision artillery. There should be a choice between fortifying your trench with a machinegun, to be effective against infantry, and fortifying your trench with a field gun, to be effective against vehicles. This will tie in better with any plans to create different AI types that may prioritise either infantry or armour, or giving different nations strengths and weaknesses.

Suggestion: The range at which units engage should effect their accuracy, so more shotgunned would die in trench assaults, but still be pretty powerful, which might also help balance other units in the future.

1) maybe add like a logistics commander which when around troops, troops get better accuracy 2) maybe add Australia as the soldiers could have slouch hats on 3)maybe add a ammo feature, that could be unique 4)when it raining trench’s will slowly flood and you could need a special unit to empty them, the high tier the trench the slower it floods 5)add bar wire 6)add airborne which will Parachute in and drop right into combat 7) do something with weapon condition, like troops need to clean their weapons otherwise they may jam or just outright explode and kill the troop, mud

Suggestion: 1) Add a medic to heal dead soldiers and regenerate health 2)Add different weather like fog to not be able to see how many solders they have 3)Add planes to spot solders if in fog and to drop bombs or some sort off projectiles Great game, can’t wait to play it. The research tree should allow for there to be various types of units (like generals or more melee units) and different types of buffs. Each type of enemy country should have a different way of attack. Generals could be bought with medals as a one time thing per match. The research tree could branch out for different abilities that can be used as you get deeper in the research tree. The barbed wire on the side could be used as defense and could be a part of the research tree.

Suggestion: New unit. Engineer. Since you brought up the idea of making the upgrades for trenches and the machinegun take time, a support unit can be made. It'll speed up the process of upgrading, as the unit would be in the trench location of upgrade, with the supplies to upgrade on hand already. It can still combat, with a SMG, but it'll be more of a support as the SMG would deal little damage. (Edit) Another thing the Engineer can do, is slowly repair the trench its in, as a passive ability. Meaning sandbags will be put back overtime, on a heavily damaged trench. Now, Baron, I don't expect this to be added any time soon. But if you do introduce this new support, the Engineer, then I'll be real glad.

You should add a spy that is able to go across no mans land and be unable to be seen by anyone except snipers. He is unable to attack trenches, but he can go in no mans land and when you decide to use artillery it will fire directly on your enemies trenches and kill 100% of them on no upgraded trench, 1. upgrade for 80%, and so on and so on subtracting 20% for each upgrade. The spy could take like 15 seconds to go across no mans land and tell the place of the trench and then return. The spy can be stopped if the enemy does a charge to the next trench. (He also can only go across larger no mans lands, no 2 inch distance no mans land) This could make the game more technical and could also make artillery stronger against basic infantry.

I think that when you do the tech tree, you should lock all of the tanks and stuff behind certain paths. This is because I like the idea of quality or quantity becoming their own specific strategies. Part of that, at least in my mind, means that if you go for certain units you will never be able to unlock some of the other units and abilities. This way, you can not only prevent stuff like a tank and gas from being used in unison, but you can also significant reduce the amount of medals from showing up. Therefore preventing the player from gaining so much money from medals late game. That and making medals so much rarer also makes so that you can almost double the amount of money that you get from exchanging medals because you get so few of them.

Suggestion: Perhaps have the units more decked out in a uniform, instead of having just helmets, and if you ever do add factions, the uniform could change based on the uniform of that faction.

Suggestions 1) bunkers 2) snow 3) factions get certain buffs The bunker lows the chance of getting hit and lower accuracy snow lowers speed of units and accuracy of artillery

SUGGESTIONS: 1) you should add the possibility to upgrade the trenches with mortars, giving the possibility to be more effective on tanks and giving a longer range than the machinegun, but less accurate and with a slower fire speed. 2)You should also add a flamethrower unit and a rocket launcher unit (very effective against tanks). 3)You can also add a feature to upgrade your troops giving them molotov cocktails or grenads to throw while charging to an enemy trench. 4)You can add a specialized combat unit that is faster and try to get in the enemy trench and fight with hand-to-hand combat keeping busy the enemy troops stopping them from shooting your other units 5)you should add healthbars for the troops and a medic unit that cures them 6)you should add a radio communications unit that grant your airstrikes more precision 7) you should add the possibility to create minefields as a defense 8) if you create more factions you can maybe give each one of them a special unit that recalls the shock troops of different nations ( like the "arditi" for the italians or the "Stormtroopers" for the germans)

i am sorry this is ww1 there were no military rocket uses besides mortars. Molotov cocktails are not ww1 neither. Grenades are. The shotgunner should be for part 4?

AI doctrines would be a good mechanic, Allowing them to prioritise certain strategies over others. Such as playing defensively and hitting you after you rush, focusing on artillery followed by tanks or aggressively advancing constantly to keep you alert. Definitely would spice up the gameplay and add a little extra flavour

Idea for the factions: Russians: Cheaper units and lower delay to buy another unit, but have less damage. Germans: Improved damage but units will be more expensive.

1) You should make a few maps like "desert", "city", "forest" and "mountain" to simulate all the fronts that WW1 was fought on. You can also do that the map has an effect on the troops: "mountain" decreases walking speed and "forest" decreases artillery effectiveness. 2) Add the Austro-Hungarians, Arabs and Ottomans, they played a part in WW1. 3) What if you made a "beach" map where one side has a landing craft instead of a HQ building? 4) Add upgrades like "+10% walking speed", "+20% sniper accuracy" to the upgrade tree. 5) Have "decoy" heads that can be unlocked so that snipers are less effective

A suggestion I'd like to see is the riflemen in specific taking potshots at an enemy trench if the other trench is on the screen, kind of like how they would be in the actual trenches. Obviously they'll be hardly as accurate and rarely kill another soldier but it'd be cool to add to the ambience and feel of trench warfare, thus it won't negate the use of a sniper. I might've commented the same thing on the last video I just like to voice my suggestions when I can :)

Suggestion: You should make it so that you can control the tanks position. It might take a while to restart its engine once stopped. They would be much more effective for defense.

A cool idea I had, a multiplayer campaign similar to btd contested territory. Two teams push forward into the opponents area by capturing trenches, and whenever a trench is taken, it pushes the progress bar closer to the capital. First team to the others win

One thing that might improve snipers would be to allow snipers to stand behind the trench which will give less cover against tanks and artillery but they would not be immediately targeted by troops rushing the trench.

Suggestion for the tech tree: You could have different types of upgrades, like production, upgrading the soldiers and tanks, unlocking new units, etc. Conflict of Nations also has a amazing tech tree so you could take some more stuff from that.

Suggestion: when units are charging can get wounded and find in pits from shells. after the attack medics can come and collect and heal then if the enemy does not attack over the units and killing them. make no man's land more detailed

Another suggestion, for the anti-tank front; Maybe make an ''engineer'' unit, that when stationed in a trench, periodically moves out to about half way between the trenches to drop a mine, and then runs abck to the trench to prepare another one?

Suggestion: For the upgrade of the Machine Gunner, make it so the guy using the Machine Gun pulls out a hammer and starts hammering on the machine gun, and then it upgrades after like 15 seconds

For the tech tree: I would love to see an ability where the riflemen can throw a grenade before firing their first shot, and you can research so that they can carry multiple grenades. You can research an additional special unit depending on the nation, like the Germans could have zeppelins and/or flamethrowers, the British could have anti-tank rifles, etc. If you could add some kind of coastal map, you can research a battleship bombardment, which would be like the artillery, but would cover much more area, have much larger explosions, shoot much faster, shoot more shells, and just generally be a better artillery, but cost a lot more with a long cooldown. (Also maybe add more nations in the future with potentially their own special unit). Edit: Some planes would potentially be really cool as well, and maybe if 2 opposing sides fighters fly near each other, they could engage in a dogfight.

Suggestion: For the research tree, make Chem Gas, and Tanks part of the research tree, so you have to upgrade in order to get the tanks and gas. Basically have two different sections of the research tree, one for infantry, and one for "Special Weapons" Chem Gas, Tanks, etc.

I have a crap ton of more Ideas: 1.) It would be really cool if there were maps with changes in elevation so that soldiers standing on the high ground will have an advantage over soldiers standing on lower ground because they will have better accuracy. 2.) Landmines: Unlike most artillery you can't place them in trenches, they deal enough damage to defeat tanks, and they cannot be triggered until they come into contact with enemy forces. 3.) If you could summon a fleet of planes to drop off reinforcements via parachute to aid in battle that would be awesome.

suggestion: you should add a military jeep with no weapons at the start but it runs the enemies over and when you upgrade the jeep it have a machine gun at the back with a guy using it and a guy driving

Allow for the ability to make landmines during no man's land, as well as some barded wires. How? Maybe have a soldier in your Frontline be able to build before heading back to the trench. Or an engineer in the back which sends an engineer to build it.

1. Maybe on the tech tree add a reinforcement ability, the British can call in Americans and Germans can call in Austrians. 2. The British might not be slowed by rain as much because they're used to it. 3. In endless mode you can add a button at the end of a wave to start the next wave. 4. Maybe add a medic to heal damaged soldiers. 5. Add a button to make your own public map. 6. Add different kinds of officers like a mortar officer. 7. Small arms fire does little to no damage to tanks, machine guns do so-so damage, and artillery and mortars do significant damage.

A few suggestions: 1. The ability to have soldiers with armor. 2. Signal Flares to help artillery accuracy at night or in rain. 3. Heavily upgraded trenches auto-equip masks for soldiers. 4. Grenadier or Bomber unit that deals lots of damage to soldiers in trenches and fortifications, and tanks. That or the ability to upgrade soldiers to have different types of grenades. 5. Fully upgraded machine gun nests are made of concrete and cannot be destroyed by regular gun fire unless the trench is captured(as in infantry have the ability to destroy the nest only if they capture the trench). A Grenadier unit, missile tank or artillery could destroy it normally. 6. Incendiary artillery. This could block off trenches from enemies with fire. 7. Engineer unit. Could build barbed wire, cover and tank barricades. 8. Multiple tiers of tanks. You could have to upgrade the previous tanks or just have another that is more expensive. 9. Artillery makes dents in the ground for soldiers to use as cover. In the rain, these holes could flood. 10. Different maps with new terrain, like forests, housing, cliffs, or even beaches for naval combat! 11. Destroyed objects can serve as cover for units. This would work well with suggestions 10 and 5. 12. New teams. You already know this though. 13. Sort of like AOE, you could have different phases in the war, like early war, middle war, and late war. Each would have their own tech trees, some unique units, and a Gargantuan unit such as an airship or big Giga Chad tank. You would have to wait for tech like flamethrowers, and tech like Cavalry would just disappear in the next phase. 14. A Storm unit with grenades, a sub machine gun, a club or a knife. This unit could tear down units similar to the shotgun but with more range and fire rate. A mobile machine gun! 15. A Medic unit that can heal wounded units. Maybe 2 in 10 shots depending on the weapon would only injure the soldier, not kill. They could be downed or something. 16. Trench improvements. You could build field/anti-tank guns or artillery that fire at things trying to cross no-mans land. This would probably come in the late game, (or middle war in suggestion 10)because it slows progress on assaults. Really good job on the game, and I think it's going to be great.

Suggestions: 1.) Have three branches of upgrades specific to each unit, but keyed towards either faster recruitment, cheaper soldiers, or more effective soldiers. 2.) Maybe have Machine Gun and Trenches upgraded by the soldiers in them. (A select number of soldiers must be in the trench for it to upgrade, and are unable to fight while it is upgrading. Maybe have some bar of some sorts to determine how many soldiers are working on it at once, with the upgrades going faster the more men you have working.

Here is an idea 🎉 ( PLEASE READ ) 1. a tech tree where you can unlock or research new units so that there is a feeling of progression Here are some new units that you could maybe unlock Paratroopers = pros ( land in any trench, even enemies) cons (weak while falling down) Mini-gunner = pros (high hp and damage ) cons (slow and very vulnerable to sniper’s headshot) Engineer = pros( produces land mines, deal weak AOE to troops, deals 2x damage to vehicles) cons ( low hp and weak damage) Fighter jet = (ability) pros deals good damage to any units in the battle field) cons ( weak against vehicles and troops in trenches) Melee troops = pros ( fast and deals good damage against troops, great for taking trench and cheap) cons (low hp, vulnerable to any ranged troops) Medic/ sergeon = pros ( heals troops around it and can revive and dead units with a cooldown ) cons (low hp and long cooldown (2.5sec) Transport truck = pros ( Carries up to 4 troops and is fast) cons (if destroyed, the units inside also die, medium hp) Flame thrower = pros (kills any troops easily ,medium speed) cons ( if shot by a sniper, it blows up and kills near by troops) Anti air gun = place at the machine gun post as an option instead of machine gunner and denies any air support from enemy with a 30sec cooldown) cons ( expensive to build and can’t attack ground units ) And that’s all, ❤ pls like this so he sees this🎉

Okay here is some ideas: -troop's morale- when a troop dies, it goes down and if it hits zero your troops will flee the battlefield and take money. The only way to counter it is entertainment, which costs money and needs to be researched. -when something explodes there is shell shock for nearby surviving troops. -when tanks are destroyed 1-3 people will try and escape, and they may not - players can research loyalty, which will allow their troops to go into the enemy base and blow it up from the inside.

2nd vid of showing my ideas. I said number 1 on a video, but I do not think you will check. 1.Add a sandbox mode with infinite money, medals, and no cooldown on units. You can also force enemy unit spawning, ability usage, and attack. Also, you can change the weather. 2. Day and night cycle (comes in with 3) 3.Add a feature in setting that makes weather changes mid game. If it snowed the snow was smaller and smaller effect and snow as time goes by, it rains it is mud for a few days, etc. 4. Trench were very, very dirty, so why not make feature that makes it to were trenches need cleaner or else units die. 5. Add hunger, if a unit does not have food for a day they will not fight. A day later they die. 6. In the research tree you choose from cheaper units or lower cooldown. Tanks can be faster or deal more damage. Artillery can deal more damage or fire more shells. Gas can last longer or go through gas masks easer. 7. Add a feature to select unit to attack or retreat rather than wasting all the units. 8.After a trench is taken then some unit might run away and are shot. The officer decreases the chance of this. 9. Add a bonus for a side EX Germans will not retreat from the field. The British get money faster. decrease (Also 2,3,4, and 5 are options in settings, but are forced on hard mode on both sides) IDK why 10 and 11 are red.

Suggestions: 1. Quiet whistle sound effect when ordering troops to charge out of the trenches when an Officer is nearby giving your troops a slight speed boost when charging out of the trenches for a second or two.. :) 2. Soldiers gaining experience from kills and ranking up giving them a little rank icon above their heads and giving them small passive buffs such as better accuracy or luck surviving a shot that could've killed them. 3. Different trench weapon upgrades, right click the upgrade icon where you'd buy the the MG and a little menu pops up with Sniper post, Anti armor rifles, underground bunker that protects troops from artillery and that can be upgraded to fit more troops, A small star generator outpost, Forward operating base able to spawn troops at that trench for a slightly higher cost or maybe it spawns riflemen passively. 4. Trench commands, Take cover: increases chances of surviving artillery, Gas gas gas: tells your troops to don their gas masks.

I got a new troop and vehicle idea that complements a relatively good mechanic that I had in mind. The troops would the supplier and the vehicle would be the supply truck. Almost like how upgrading your main base works, you would buy them and they would stay at your main base and when you say upgrade a trench or something they're run over and bring the supplies to do so. I think this is a better way to represent this than just some random dude running throughout no man's land with a massive machine gun on his back or just the stuff popping into existence. Obviously the difference between the supplier and the supply truck is that the supplier would walk/run at about half the speed of a troop advancing and have normal HP and the truck would go 1.5x the speed of a troop advancing and have tank HP as well as be partially immune (about half the effect) to weather conditions making it extremely reliable and consistent to use. I think this would add a ton of strategy and difficulty to the game. Another way you could use this idea would be that troops and mountable guns only have a certain amount of ammunition and the supplier would bring ammo then run back (same thing with the truck). Personally I would like it like this + the other way too but thats just me. P.S just a bonus thing, troops that recently got recruited/spawned could hitch a ride on the back of the truck as like an extra thing.

If you lose a trench before your ordered machine gunner arrives the gunner should be "stored at base" rather than being snaped out of existence. This means the next gunner should be free.

Troop Suggestions Raiders: Specifically designed to raid trenches and defending them. Armed with a explosive grenade, a combat knife, a pistol, and the fastest unit in the game dealings with troops is easy. Attacks will miss him specifically more. Medics: Instead of dying troops instead can be healed/revived. The Medic has a med kit that can heal/revive x amount of troops, a syringe gun, and a Red Cross. No one will be dying in these trenches. Flamers: Another Geneva convention violation. Armed with a Flamethrower, and a free gas mask to not inhale deadly fumes. Flamethrower does burn damage over x amount of time. Very good for groups, but can be easily outranged. Engineer: Builds stuff and repairs buildings. Sandbags: troops behind it will have a 50% of shots from the enemy missing. Anti-Tank spikes or Czech Hedgehogs: Stops tanks in their tracks forcing them to attack the spikes. Barbed Wire: Injures and slows down enemy forces. Other stuff like HQ and Machine Guns can be repaired. Armed with ??? Other Suggestions Snipers should have infinite range, but the closer they are the more accurate the shot is. Shotgunners should have settings long range, mid range, low range. Long range is he will start attacking when a troop enters range, mid range is when they are closer, and low range is basically point blank. Bomb Tank should deal reduced damage instead of missing if the trench is upgraded. Thanks for reading this person!

Suggestions: 1. The ability to call in bombing runs and bomb the enemy trench with bomber planes 2. Soldiers can have things like knifes, shovels and grenades 3. I think there should be a realistic mode where you can't see where the enemy is (unless they charge). Maybe the enemy is smarter and use artillery more. Tanks have more hp, gas will be moved by wind and will only begin at your farthest trench to the next 2 trenches depending on distance. Artillery can hit teammates and if you do add creeping barrage, maybe there's a 5% chance that the creeping barrage fails and kills the infantry.

I think there should be Sappers which can build barbed wires, holes, and etc. to slow enemy troops and to easily upgrade the machine gunner while following him if he is running on the battlefield

I think a good idea is to have options when upgrading units to either decrease the time and cost or equip them with grenades. Maybe you could also add a bit more diversity in fronts, like besides the Western Front, the Eastern Front, the Italian Front and the Middle East, although I do understand that some of these fronts were a bit more dynamic than others and so will be difficult to recreate in the style of the game you are going for, but I believe if you can pull it off, it will make for a fantastic game. Possibly also with different factions add a unique unit for each one, like the Germans, stormtroopers, the British, Coldstream Guards or the Italians, the Arditi. I feel this kind of distinction between nations will help make multiplayer more fun and make each campaign feel unique. Also adding more generic units like cavalry, the air force (could be different types, like recon, which will work well with fog of war, bombers, fighters who perform strafing runs etcetera) engineers (could improve the defence of trenches they are in or some kind of mechanic where they lay mines) and sappers (specifically they can dig under trenches and set off bombs like Messines). Also just adding aesthetics like dead trees and craters to No Man's Land would be great. You guys are doing great. I love this game

Suggestions 1. Add flamethrowers, they can be able to sweep through trenches, and have a chance of bursting into flames when shot. 2. Add assault troops (example: Sturmtroopen for Germany) that have a fast firing smg and the ability to through grenades. 3. I just want to preface this by saying that I am a big fan of Baron and his content, and I love the idea of this game. There should be a small tech/upgrade tree for each unit, with upgrades like 10-20% increased accuracy, increased speed, and decreased deploy time being available 2-3 times for each unit, costing more medals each time, and 1-2 unique upgrades for each unit. Riflemen could get the unique upgrade of bayonet charges, where they have a significant chance (altered by the level of the trench defenses) to jump into the enemy trenches into the midst of the enemy units and gain a bayonet attack that replaces their shooting if there is an enemy in melee range. This attack is much less likely to miss than the rifle shot. Shotgunners could have a similar upgrade, but they will only jump into the trench if there is a spot clear of enemy units. They will actively clear an area to land if the 40-60% chance proves successful, and when entering a trench have a very powerful attack. Machine gunners might have the ability to go prone behind the attacking riflemen, shotgunners etc. and reduce their chances of being targeted. Another ability could be to (every 5-15 seconds while defending) fire back and forth across the battlefield. This attack won't hit anyone, but temporarily reduce the accuracy of many of the enemy units. Officers could provide a free artillery barrage if they are kept alive for a certain amount of time, or they could have an increased gas mask range. Snipers could have a similar ability to machine gunners to go prone while on the attack. They could also actively target more valuable units, starting from sniper, then officer, then machine gunners, then shotgunners, then riflemen. They would avoid shooting tanks, as their accuracy is more valuable elsewhere. Tanks could have increased armor, and allow certain units to hide behind them while attacking, giving them protection like a trench would.

There should be the following features: For the Skill tree: Bayonets-allows riflemen to use their bayonets when 2 forces battle in no mans land Night vision googles- takes of modifiers regarding the accuracy of artillery Recon unit- makes artillery more accurate, focusing the bombs on enemies(when the map has the midnight /thick fog ,this unit takes of the modifiers regarding the artillery's acuracy) Engineer -gives the trench he is in a half of an upgrade(only one half per trench aka 2 engineers =1 upgrade for the trench they are occupying ) Heroes - stronger versions of already existing units Events-every day a custom gamemode can be played on a custom map(potentially made by players if this feature will be added ), for instance: Bombed Battlefield - craters and bomb shells are left from previous battles,giving cover for attackers.(if a crater is near a tranch, then shtogunners can enterthe trench via the hole for massive dmg posiblities ) Airstrike Assault- ever so often no mans land will be bombed via airplanes Bossfight-a very strong unit /group of units will be in the middle. The players objective- to oof the soldier/soldiers in the middle I could proabably make an even bigger coment, but for now this will do

I think you should add bayonet charges and that if your enter a trench with infantry bayonet charges they kill them faster. Another thing is commandos that set up small positions in no-man’s-land with grenades against tanks

Suggestion- 1- As a reward you can of the option of a special unit that can only be unlocked through level up reward. A combat medic, while he is in a trench there is a chance a unit that is killed, is revived and saved. 2- As a reward option you can equip all current units with gas masks. 3- A moral system. If you units suffer heavy loses or are forced to retreat or lose a trench, they lose moral and are less effective.

Suggestions: 1.) Shotguns: Instead of firing on the move. Have them jump into enemies trench to negate the trench bonus. Give them a higher chance to hit representing spread, but also increase their chance of being targeted and hit representing their need to get closer than a rifleman. 2.) Research: Artillery Cooldown/Reduced Spread/Decrease expense. 3.) Research: Gas: Increased duration (Lingers in trench)/Increased area/Increase Lethality (Gas masks less effective) 3.) Faction Ideas: Instead of decreased cost perhaps make 1 or 2 aspects of a unit better. American Officers give better gas masks, German/Russian officers grant increased move speed, British officer gives increased accuracy or rate of fire.

As an austrian it would be really cool to add austria-hungary. And a other idea of mine would be that you could add an campain ( idk how to spell it )and you could be able too attack parts of the map in the campain, so that as germany you could like launch an attack thru belgium. Btw austria-hungary is probably known for their snipers / armored cars and horses, atleast what i know about

For the machine gun upgrade, it could be like when you upgrade it a guy comes with a hammer and takes x amount of time to upgrade it, then you can't upgrade the machine gun again until the guy has went back to base.

What if there was a camouflaged troop that moved very slowly (Like 1/2 tank speed or slower) but it could move right up to the trench without getting shot, and then you can choose to reveal and start shooting, but then you can be shot at. Also maybe a possibility of being revealed if troops run past your camo troops. This might help with the mid-game part with mounting attacks. Also it might be cool to have a fatality counter for one or both sides. Spending money to repair the base seems good because it is like purchasing new supplies to fix holes and other damage.

For balancing the machine gunner for shotgun rush (or just in general) you should add a second sandbag area behind the trench but only when the trench is upgraded to level 3, and you should add a level 5 trench that allows you to build a mini bunker/barracks on the top of the trench to spawn units from. You could also add a menu to the rush icon that allows you to send a specific unit instead if the entire trench to rush

Suggestions: 1.) Add natural defenses like rivers and mountains when adding in new levels and the mountains will have movement penalty(like narrow passage or steep climbing) as well as increased base defences stat 2.) Add buffs and debuffs respectively to their nation for example: 1. Britain's troops will overall have the highest accuracy out of every other countries but it will be expensive to field 2. Germany will have the blitz perk that allows all frontline troops to have speed boost to charge while shooting but it will last for 7 seconds have a 1 minute cool down and the price for purchasing each units will very slightly increase in value. Gas attacks are already unlock as the inventors of it. 3. Russia will have a significant discount in troop cost but a severe decrease in quality and might not listen to commands at times. Research in the tech tree to improve its soldiers quality while invest in stamping out internal Bolshevik corruption(improving army discipline) as you could outright lose the game immediately when Bolshevik corruption goes too high. 4.France have a slight delay in commands, a discount in troops and a better tank quality.

Just some ideas: - Barbed wire to the no mans land or to the trench as an unlockable ability - Sappers (tunnelers) an expensive and risky unit, but if it hits, it hits hard - smoke rounds, that make enemy fire less accurate - An upgrade to the machine gun, that turns it into a field gun, slow reload, weaker against ifantry but better against tanks than the machine gun - If you get gassed, your infantry that survives, are weaker but enraged so hit harder. - Medal exchange is not a flat amount but RNG so taking a sure but possibly less valuable gold crate or gamble with medals a choice, and an option to ballance money exploits. - Aerial reconnaissance to get your bombardment more accurate - Tanks: French-FT17 British-MarkIV Germans-A7V - Melee unit with trench clubs - Flamethrower unit - RNG "battle hero" unit, thats better than the others - Trench upgrade with "bomb shelter", only a couple guys fit but they survive bombardment, but can't defend while in it.

Suggestions: 1. Add the ability for shotgunners to deal damage when they are near the enemy exp: shotgunner deals high damage when they are close to the enemy. Shotgunner deals low damage from afar. 2. Maybe a research tree option could be K-bullets. They'd make your Riflemen and Machinehunners deal more damage to tanks (or any other vehicles you add)

Suggestion: you should be able to build 2 buildings at the Player Base. Either a recruitment center, which would increase the speed you can produce different units, or/and a Factory which would decrease the amount of resources needed to spawn a unit

I play a lot of strategy games so I have a few ideas. 1) upgrading defenses is nessisary on the battlefield especially in the trenches. maybe provide the option to purchase and place landmines, barbed wire, and other traps or obstacles in the path of your enemy. 2) most Trenches are connected in some way for troop transport as well as communication. Maybe create an option to create various tunnels between trenches... as well as placing explosives in them for if the enemy takes a connected trench. 3) as an American, myself, I kind of have to point out that we were heavily involved as well... at least after Pear Harbor.

Suggestions 1. Make trench upgrades give more cap for troops 2. Make it so when troops equip a gas mask it takes time to put it on. 3. No man lands does more damage to the attackers via giving the defenders a buff on damage. 4. Make T1 soldiers use their knifes to stab the defenders, add mud graphics. 5. Make barbwire to slow down the attackers, make new class to deal with the barbwire. 6. 50 percent slower, take small damage in barbwire but barbwire cutter soldiers destroy the barbwire.

Suggestions: 1) In the research tree, it would be nice if there was a calvary unit 2) It would also be nice if you had an engineer unit that placed barbed wire and sandbags. 3) Some factions that would be unique would be the Austria-Hungarian Empire

Add an upgrade for sniper to give them anti tank rifles Add flame throwers that leave a aoe fire effect that burns the area that they just attacked for a bit afterwards and make it so they blow up afterwards. A possible upgrade for them could be that they begin to charge the enemy when they are about to blow up. Make an upgrade for tanks where infantry will fall behind tanks and use it for cover. Also for the English as a faction specific perk is that that they don't get machine guns but their rifleman fire insanely fast to simulate the English "mad minute" or instead make it so that when an officer is present then they Do a "mad minute"

You should make it so you can upgrade the tank if you're American or British so that it becomes a Sherman and is more powerful. And if you're German, you can upgrade it to a tiger tank

Tbf the shotgunners being super OP is historically accurate lmao. Shotguns had to be banned in trench warfare due to exceptional lethality and brutality

Maybe instead of upgrading the trenches directly, you could have a new unit called the Builder that passively increase the effect given from cover and will periodically upgrade the trench. Maybe he could have a shovel that can be used as a melee in the event of an attack.

Suggestions: 1: Research tree can have a split choice between damage vs accuracy 2: Research tree can be used to unlock unique abilities for troops (grenades for shotgunners, AT rounds for Riflemen)

Suggestion: Different countries have different abilities, like Britain deploys a Mk IV tank(maybe also a reference to some real tank like the fray bentos), germans get a strafing run from an triplane (a certain, other, baron), the french get a... white flag ig? The US (if the british arent just UK and US combined) get an artillery boost/buff etc.

Suggestions: 1) engineer? the engineer could build barbed wire, you may also need the engineer to upgrade the vickers gun 2) bayonet charges were a major part of the ww1 battlefield, could you add an ability which when u desire, the riflemen instead of stopping in front of the trenches, could charge straight into them without stopping and use their bayonets? as they get closer, they would have a higher chance of getting shot. once in the trench, the opposition riflemen would also get handcombat weapons but only if the charging riflemen are attacking them, if not they will still have guns. You could also make the riflemen have to jump over the sandbags, which would give the sandbags another purpose other than esthetics. during this time they would be most vulnerable. When tanks explode, for a short while they could be used as cover for the infantry men

If the game does specialized for factions. -British has Mark 4/5 tank. 2 cannons to shoot with + machine gun. -British have the officer unlocked without the need for metals -Unique artillery ability of creeping barrage. -Germany gets the A7V heavy tank. 1 cannon, 2 machine guns. -Replaces trench shotgun for an SMG. (They believed shotguns were a war crime in the Great War). Could have it attack rate up but, single targets at close range. -Specialist flamethrower unit.

suggestion: more scenery in no mans land that soldiers can hide behind when storming a trench (and maybe they can hide behind dead tanks which you or the enemy spawned)
