The sad part is unfortunately it's the parents fault for not correcting his behavior so it's not going to change unless the parents get on top of it. They need to get on that soon as possible before it gets even more out of control. I'm right there with you & having Shine defend himself. ❤❤

I am not a parent, but I would also teach my kids how to defend themselves if they were in any situation or a situation like this, and Savi is such a happy baby.

I teach my children to defend themselves!! My daughter is super sweet but she definitely knows how to defend herself! The momma bear would’ve instantly come out of me if I saw that lol.

I'm with Quan on this one. I experience this every day because I am a school bus driver, and kids hit kids all the time. I don't allow bullying. They get kicked off my bus after the first right up, and they do it again, they gots to go.

A lil kid bullying at that age is insane you guys can talk to his parents and let them set him straight with better measures

I love the way you all are so involved and "hands on" with your boys. That's so important to the positive growth and development of children. As a retired educator (pre-school/kinderarten teacher and schol counselor I've seen and dealt with parents and children who bully. It's a learned behavior. So. the "aggressive" child in the gymnastics class has learned to be that way from other people-maybe his/her siblings, parents, care giver. To return that agression only teaches kids that to way to deal with negative brhaviors is to do something negative in return. Kids/people are ALWAYS going to come up against difficult and negative behaviors. Shine is a gentle soul, very smart and learns fast. The best way to handle your situation is to talk to him in language on his level about positive/ negative behaviors and how he can talk to kids who display negative behaviors toe=ward him. Hitting/pushing back is not a good way to deal with bulling. I would also speak to the parents of the child and let them know that you don't approve of the pushing/hitting, that you aren't raising your children to respond in that manner. Shine sees that you all don't yell at him or at each other, you don't hit,etc. Kids aren't too young to learn conflict resolution skills. I know "Papa Bear" doesn't want to see his kids get picked on but you want them to be able to handle situations that will come up without them (situations) turning onto physical altercations. As Savi gets older and begins to assert himself into the family mix, there will be times when he and Shine "get into it". When that happens you'll want them to talk it out, not fight it out. I’m a toddler teacher & I definitely understand it. We have a strict policy for it with actions to take at certain steps up to leaving the school (reasonably) This project was so cute ❤

i’m not a mother , but i definitely feel this way when it comes to my siblings. I tell them all the time to defend themselves if it ever comes down to it. one of my biggest fears is them getting bullied 😩

I am with Quan. From a little age I’ve always taught my son, who is the sweetest soul, how to defend himself. I encourage him to never start a fight, but has full reign to end one. Now that he is 11, he deals with a lot of bullies and kids saying mean stuff to him. I teach him empathy, because we never know what others are going through at home. I teach him that misery loves company and people will try and hate and bring you down to their level. Feel bad for them and move on with your life unbothered is the advice I give him. But again, if a kid puts hands on him, he needs to shut that down and punch them in the face!

Honestly, we tell our kids to stand up for themselves. Never throw the first hit or push or bully anyone but if someone does it to you first you stand up for yourself.

About a bully they’re everywhere. As long as your son is having fun doing what he loves to do it’s all that matters. Don’t worry about bully I was picked on and teased. In elementary school and middle school but I just learned to deal with it and forget it.

In my experience with my daughter being bullied, i taught her the exact same, to defend herself. I also took a further approach and spoke with the parent in regards to the bullying (EVEN THOIGH ITS OBVIOUS THAT THEIR CHILDS A BULLY) to let them know that we’re teaching our child defense so expect for her to to hit yours back and she won’t keep it cute. Met with teacher, dean and principal as well and stood up for our daughter and in sum., she hasn’t been bullied since. There’s enough going on in today’s world to have to deal with bullying too. You’re doing the right thing, PROTECT YOUR CUBS❤
