I met Cheris when I was a foreign student in Seoul last year. She is seriously one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I was having a bit of a difficult time adjusting and such, but she helped me by inviting me out with some friends and doing fun stuff, having dinner, seeing a movie, stuff like that. She's really an angel. Hopefully when I come back to Korea, I'll have a better job and I can repay the favor. I really hope we can hangout again sometime in the future. It makes me happy to see that she finally got to debut and is doing well. Cheris 화이팅! :)

thank you for doing this video Tiffany and Michy. It must be really tough for Cheris, and it's been really brave of her to step out of her comfort zone and live alone in Korea for the past 7 years. Kudos to you two for having when over and giving us as valuable insight. it really isn't just the glitz and glamour that we always see on the screen. so much hard work and sacrifice has been made. now I feel so insignificant with my own life LOL. love your content! sending hugs!

i feel bad for her :( she trained for so long + she’s singaporean (foreigner,, like prolly took a lot time adapting, then prolly had not much/no friends esp at the beginning) . and her company isn’t known in korea, she prolly have a huge debt to pay off too(esp if her group doesn’t get more popular, the debt will grow and she’ll not earn a single cent until they pay off their debt:< ) ,, sigh i hope she & her group will get more recognition in the future !!

tiffanysdiy honestly if she joined SM it might even be tougher ( the competition is really strong. out of like hundredssss of trainees they will pick like a few to debut only ) the only good thing is that they earn money v quickly compared to smol company trainees . but honestly if she joined SM ... will she even be able to debut..? no offense ok i’m not saying she’s not good enough . but tbh u need to have lots of luck , talent , visuals , and whatever else they are finding :)

Hope she can make it big one day. Kpop industry is a very tough road to walk. 1) Too much competitions. 2) Too much stress, both physically (long training hours, short resting time) and mentally (alone in a foreign country/haters/company's requirements etc). 3) Too much unnecessary hates even if you had done nothing wrong. 4) Furthermore, many a times, not debuting under any of the big 3s is already automatically placed in a huge disadvantage. It takes much more to succeed compared to being an idol from the big 3. I feel unfair for some groups sometimes. Despite many good songs, a wrong comeback timing that crashes with big groups (often from big 3) means better luck next time. Nevertheless, All the best to you, Cheris! I wish you a successful journey towards your dream! Insta: zennns2
