I can relate to her story. I was in a job, earning an okay salary for a Nigerian standard and I left it after 4 years to start internship in my new IT career path. So, sometimes you’ve got to take few steps back to take a good jump. I’ve had to also do businesses that ordinarily people wouldn’t want to do. Congratulations on your plantain chips.

We have missed you Wode. Welcome back 🙂🙂. You are right about fixing our own problems. Just this week, I was watching on CNN about the SARS protest and one guy from the panel said that " BLACK WEST AFRICA IS NOT A PRIORITY". Meanwhile we are campaigning for the West to come save us. We need to mobilize our own people and our useless leaders to solve our own problems. The West is after our resources, THAT'S IT. Few of their leaders actually care about us as humans. Those of us living in the West, we have tasted racism in various shapes and forms. We are hanging on by a thread to find a way home permanently. Channels like yours and Mz Dru's are giving us hope and motivation. Please do not stop. We are behind you and God is your shield. Keep going strong. Ayikoo to you both and Mz Dru I will come taste your chips next time I am in Ghana
@py20

"BLACK WEST AFRICA IS NOT A PRIORITY" Yes, I heard the guy say it, and I don't understand why so many are shocked. These people have shown us, going back centuries, that we are not human and only good to be exploited for their comfort. We should know this by now and have a robust plan to resist their diabolic, exploitative agenda. But instead of doing this, we continue to look to them, the very people killing us, for salvation? C'mon, the joke is on us! Wake up Africa!!!!!

I really want to see innovating technology in Africa not borrowed systems from Europe. Like Africa’s powers needs to come from solar or thermal. Some parts should come from wind. Some even can come from movement ie roads powered by walking and bikes. I really think it’s he best place to explore new technology African funded and produced.

@Ahman Ahm if Africa. Problems were money Africa were developed a long time ago! As Akan we are people of gold but we are poor! So toilet issues might be adress by turning poo in too fertiliser or biogas . So Wode maya try to set up a community project to improve the WC . Promote weekly community work for levelling the street and organise rain water circulation.

Infact it's easy to upstage latrines and make them presentable and modern. If the community contributed some amount of money proper drainage can be built. You drain it towards the lower level through big cement pipes and collect it in a big hole or let it run along ravines outside of town. After a while can be used as a fertilizer.

I love her story & I feel that there's so many more products that could be made from plantains like Plantain Ice Cream in combination with other local flavors, Herbal Healing Salve, moisturizers & much more. I'm very interested to see you grow in these areas in the coming years if this is your passion. A wonderful journey. Sir, I love what your doing, giving others an opportunity to see the real side of Alkebulan... Good work, keep inspiring.

Whoa..pit toilet is waay different than a hole in the ground. I had that experience with the Folani people in the Gambia and I decided to hold it as well. It was literally some twigs surrounding a hole covered by a piece of wood.

Hey Wode and friend - I think we can make the dream happen. I used to design business systems for multinationals like coca cola, pepsi cola here in the UK but gave that up to start a charitable enterprise. Now I think its time to move our development opportunities to Africa - lets chat. She said she was husslting in the UK :-) Thats because she did not have the right crowd. The problem that we have here is that we find making it way too easy. We want a challenge - so Africa.
