Welcome to Idaho! Everyone in Idaho loves the scenery, camping, hiking, and overall outdoor activities even in the cities like Boise. Enjoy your stay! We came to IDAHO in 1984 and still here! Hard to leave a great place like IDAHO.

I tell you this because of something my dad told me. We were living in Provo, where my mom was raised. I had a few kids, we're in my parents kitchen and I said we were thinking of moving to Idaho Falls. My dad goes "You don't want to move to Idaho. They are strange people in Idaho. My mom, just younger sister are all in the kitchen when my dad said that. My sister puts her arm around dad's shoulder and said "Yes, we know." That was before we lived in Livingston and Darby Montana and Ashton, St Anthony and Afton, Wyoming. I told that incident to numerous people in Idaho. My high school basketball coach, who I idolized is from Pocatello. I was on a church mission to England and my favorite companion is from Pocatello. Backpacked in the Sawtooths. Idaho is awesome. Happy to hear you moved there. Love your videos. Go to Ship Island Lake in the Bighorn Crags by Salmon. My best friend from the Bay area married a girl from Rexburgh. Her dad has been in scouting forever, been everywhere, Ship Island Lake is the most beautiful of all, according to him.

You missed the best part of your move... driving distance to reeds dairy 🙃.Very cool. We spent a while in Pocatello because of the same reasons you moved there. It had easy access to resources and a nice day trip to some extraordinary landscape. I’m looking forward to your new territory, the change will be nice for you and viewers. This is a real milestone for you. Congratulations.

We went to Yellowstone this fall and stayed in Idaho for a few nights and decided from that trip that we want to move there also. The city we want to move to is also Pocatello, mostly for the reasons for what you stated. Idaho is definitely underrated! Looking to move from Northern Kentucky. Thanks for sharing all your videos from Idaho; it’s definitely helped show me more of whatnot expect.

Almost 4 years late on this, but I lived most of my life in Pocatello. Pocatello isn't anything special itself, but it's so close to so many incredible places that it's an ideal place to live for anyone who loves the outdoors. I spent a lot of my 20s exploring and adventuring, and saw such a small amount of what there is to see. I live in a small town at the base of the Olympic Mountains now and it feels somewhat similar, but with a warmer and much wetter climate. I do miss Pocatello a lot, but living close to the ocean, the Cascades, and the Olympics is every bit as amazing.

One nice thing about Pocatello is you can be out in the country but still 15-20 mins from town but you can’t see town from your house. It’s a great jumping off point for a lot of great wilderness and national parks Idaho has a lot of beauty in and nearby. I have friends in Pocatello. Lots of great memories there

Are you still in Idaho? just started watching your videos. you do a great job! born in Idaho Falls and have traveled all over the western United States but came back to Idaho 44 years ago and never want to leave. three of the kids live in Utah and want us to move to there but love the laid back life and adventure opportunities of South Eastern Idaho. live in Idaho Falls and love the area. honestly don't like to see the influx of folks from the far western United States who want to bring their problems and issues to the area so thank goodness for super cold winters, lots of snow and ice and HOBO SPIDERS that keep all but the hardy from the area for very long. keep bringing the videos.

My Dad’s side of the family is from Twin Falls/ Buhl area, and we have been looking there and In Boise, but we have seen the prices rise dramatically over the last 4-5 years with the influx of Californians especially in Boise. We are Californians too, but we wish to “escape” this crazy state and its “me first” attitude. I hadn’t considered Pocatello before I saw your video, but it really opened my eyes to that area. My main loves are mountain biking and fishing, (just picked up tenkara last year), and the Pocatello area would be a better choice for us over Twin Falls because of the close proximity to the wilderness. The town we live in now, (Atascadero, Ca) has about 70,000, and i feel has enough stores and restaurants to satisfy us. The hospital in Pocatello looks new and modern, and the housing is still reasonably priced, ( which is huge). Just checking out job opportunities there now as I am getting ready to “retire” from my 20 year career with AT&T and start something new in a different direction, definitely in Idaho! Thanks for your interesting videos! I love watching them on weekend mornings with coffee before I have my own adventure.

I just found your channel and the title of this video caught my eye because I recognized the view on the thumb. Nice brah, we lived in Vernal, UT for a couple of years (I worked with NOLS at the whitewater base there and a little up in Lander, WY) then on the Wasatch Back for 15 years in the Heber Valley, ended up in Poky after that for 3 years ( love all of Idaho but Poky and surrounding area are very special, Pebble Creek has incredible skiing and Bigfoots live in the area, up on Brushy Mtn on the Res but they come over to Scout Mtn as well), then down to Lake Havasu City Arizona for a year, Nashville Tennessee for 5 years and now back in St. Louis where I grew up. Working towards a nomadic life soon and actually headed out on a Great Basin road trip for Sept., Oct. and Nov. Will be in CO, UT, ID, NV, CA and AZ during that time adventuring and visiting old friends. We'll probably be in Poky for a little while even, sure miss it. Brian

Greetings Outdoors Traveler, It seemed good unto the Lord my God to introduce me to your KZfaq SUV RVing videos recently. I must say, I have enjoyed watching and listening to your uplifting "Idaho" outdoor traveling videos. I recently watched (2-3) videos, I smiled with laughter when I watched your bike rving adventure into the (BLM) sagebrush field, and the weather began to rain lightly upon you. I heard you tell your viewers, I don't know if I want to set up camp for the early evening in the light rain when you could call your wife to come pick you up, I laughed with the Lord, and "you" for this most of us who have hiked or biked into the wilderness know and understand how inclement weather may make our outdoor experience, depending on the season and climate, a real "wilderness experience" of the solitude of hiking and camping alone in the wilderness. Well, I must say, I have truly enjoyed watching your video channel, and as a Connecticut native living in the city of Boise, Idaho for more than 15 years, I haven't (yet) explored the scenic adventure of backcountry travel into the wilderness regions of Idaho. If my Lord wills me, as I desire, I think, I want to explore remote scenic rivers in Idaho. Will continue to enjoy watching your videos. Shalom Mon 6.1.20

Congratulations! This seems like an excellent base for exploring some really amazing areas. I have to admit, despite living "next" to Idaho my whole life, I always had an inaccurate and under-informed impression of what it has to offer, having really only spent time in the Nampa/Boise area where I have family and friends. The thing I don't like about the Pocatello valley is that is always has dirty air when we drive through there. I live north of there and you are right about being in the plains. It is an hour or more to true trails to hike on, so everyone is on those trails. North of you the weather is psychotic. Essentially nine months worth of winter conditions. I used to want to move to Boise, but the surrounding area seems even deader than a desert except the rattle snakes.

Welcome to Idaho, we moved here 8 years ago to the Boise area from the flatland's of Maryland's eastern shore. You will absolutely love this state. There are mountains, deserts, whitewater, dirt roads, and scenic diversity beyond description. Many have said Idaho is what America was and that is Idaho in a nutshell. I fell in love with the mountains of Idaho; however I would worry about yellowstone blowing and quakes. I guess there are risks everywhere tho.
