Thanks for this great video! I always have the same doubt with L+2 shape. When your opponent cut your first leg, how can you easily spot your right response (the 2-2 or or the other one)? For, me the 2 cutting-legs moves are simmetrical. Thank you! I refer to 8:27 - 8:38

It Chinese rules do you have to play it out until you take all the corner stones?

Under Chinese rules or under rulesets where life and death questions may be settled by actual play rather than decided by virtual play, the ko should be played. Such rulesets usually provide means to remove dead stones by playing inside your territory after the game without losing points (e.g. by using area scoring or pass stones). Thus, it costs nothing to remove all ko threats before starting the ko, so the bent four in the corner is still usually dead.

Wouldn't black q1, white r1, black s2 also kill? And that would be without bent four in the corner if I'm not mistaken. Although in that case white gets a move at p1, which I guess depending on the situation might be a downside.

You are right. You can kill with Hane. Because the stone n2. In the next chapter I plan to show it. Thanks!
