Never played LoL and went into the Series blind when it came out. I'm a 46yo dude with wife and kids and cried like a baby at the blue smoke scene. This Show is excellent, it looks so good and the story had me at the edge of my seat throughout. Also: Gore. you can almost feel the heft of the punches and the pain they cause. Very surprising and extremely enjoyable 9/10 from me. Thanks for the Upload, nicely done :)

Give me a decade or so. Production of serious narrative driven animated series is my current dream and passion. Ill do my best to get there for you sir.

I feel like there exist lots of rather serious animated series already, you just have to look for them. Some I can think of right now are Castlevania, Castlevania: Nocturne, Invincible, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Hazbin Hotel, (later) Clone Wars, Tales of the Jedi, The Legend of Vox Machina, Blue Eye Samurai, Arcane (obviously), the Avatar shows and many more (some of these were already mentioned in the video).

From a technical standpoint, it's borderline impossible. Arcane's budget and production was pretty much unprecedented. Narratively though, there is some hope.

Yeah in terms of money, I wouldn’t expect every show to break the bank, but I’m hoping for more narrative driven shows in a similar tonal style. That’s the goal

Nobody is asking, but here are some recs for more serious animation: TV: Primal, Pantheon, Scavengers Reign Films: The Breadwinner (2017), Funan (2018), The Spine of Night (2021) Documentary films: Tower (2016), Another Day of Life (2018), Flee (2021)

We need more fantasy shows period...less Rings of Power type shows and more GoT or American Gods type ones. Less High Guardian Spice type fantasies, in terms of animation and more Vox Machina types
