I've been keeping my eye on Nascar for awhile and he has not fallin off yet. He's still touring, doing a lot of collabs, and dropping here and there. In a masked gorilla interview from 2019 he said it wouldn't be a forever thing. Also his sound isn't new new. BVDLVD has similar sounds. Same with Gizmo as well

I think I heard the label wasn’t properly paying the people he collaborated with on the American wasteland album so him and DPI have been trying to sort all that shit out while being on tour at the same time. He said after this album drops he’s leaving the label.

Nascar signed to the stupid label and it has just not allowed him to do shit or have the freedom he used to have. he has an album coming out soon but who really knows when it’s going to drop, death proof keeps giving us dates but never completes them, there’s talk of him saying that he hates me label and is getting bored with the shit he’s making and there’s also talk that he’s just getting started for his second phase as soon as he releases the Album, a bunch of shit has been leaked so who knows what the album will consist off, but till then he’s been loosing followers and just slowly fading away from peoples interest

In his recent LA gig (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jJ9zpKag2am0p5s.html) he talked about being over music and spending all his time gaming (pretty early in to that vid). Was still a pretty mad concert but he also seemed pretty wasted, beyond the point of it negatively impacting on him being high energy like he used to be. Epitaph is a great label for him to sign to and I'd be surprised if they're too restrictive given their punk origin/background; it kinda seemed like he's not in a great place atm. Really looking forward to the album if it eventually drops tho, he's so unique and awesome. Although the single they released on Christmas Day 2021 was incredibly low key, like he's gone off in a completely different direction. Would be good mood balancer in a longer record maybe? He's done some great collabs in the last year too. STAIN with Sosmula, ACAB with Zillakami and Unintelligible with Jasiah. Always sad when Great Underground independent artist sign it's always annoying & usually doesn't end well. People with a sound & a fan base can grow over time & keep loyalty & stay independent.

I think it's his label that's the problem. the amount of snippets and unreleased songs he has on Soundcloud is crazy. I think he even said once in an instagram story that he has like over 200 unreleased songs that he's made in the past year. I truly don't know why artists continue to sign with labels. STAY INDEPENDENT. if things are going well while you're independent and you're building an audience, why are you signing with a label.
