Today is another busy day on the homestead. I want to mow inside the barnyard with the tractor first thing. Then I need to fix the livestock trailer before we take the steers to the butcher.

I only started watching because I wanted to know how to get rid of stumps. I watch the video where you try to burn out that giant stump. I was hooked! I know now that video was taken a few years ago. Then I watched the gadget you made to get ALL those nails and metal off the ground. I watched you fence in your garden! O My, y’all are busy! My husband and I worked in the yard all morning and until the sun was going down, trying to cut down old trees and clean up our yard. I am so exhausted. Of course we are old enough to be your parents. Your videos are so inspiring. We only have half a acre in a neighborhood in a small east Texas town. I’m so impressed with all y’all have done in only 6 years!!! We really have enjoyed watching today, and I’m sure we will watch many many more videos. THANKS

I second that motion. 1000lb+ steer x 2 = that back end may drop and flip the front end of the trailer. I know the axles favor the rear of the trailer but it still could flip up.

Not a good idea to allow that kind of weight in and out of a trailer not hooked to a tow vehicle. If you need the truck for work, use the tractor for now. Good Vedic.

Definitely hook that trailer up to something. The trailer will move much less under the steers feet. You might get by this time but next year's steers might not cooperate as well

Good enough for you??!? That’s back to original specs almost. If you want to replace that lower panel sometime, fine, but you made it functional now. This project reminds me of the mower, rake, and baler - you had to undo partial rigged ‘fixes’ to make them work. I think you’re doing a darned good job. I bet you’re really liking the shop and concrete apron to work on and in, and to keep the tools at the ready.

When welding on old rusty steel make sure to grind off as much rust as possible first so the weld penetrates well and is free of contamination. Also-when I'm mowing I always remove my loader and put some front weights on...it makes the tractor way more maneuverable and improves visibility. It only takes 10 minutes and really makes a big difference! Great video--really enjoyed it!

Love your farm. A little worried about leaving the trailer like you did they are heavy animals and could lift front end of trailer off the ground and scare them making it harder to get them in when you do try to load them. Maybe should hook tractor to trailer and leave it hooked up if this is what your wanting to try.

You did a good thing by thinking ahead both by getting another freezer, with all that meat coming up, and also training those steers to enter that trailer.
