I would try centering your desk in the room in front of the window facing towards the door. Such a fan of floating furniture instead of pushing it against the wall.😊

IDEA for your office- pull desk out 2 foot and turn in to Face the opposite wall! Then you can look out the window and face the doorway while you work- I could never have my back to the room- try it!!! Excited to see how everything comes together in the next few months!!

Suggestion for the office. Put the desk in front of the window facing the door with your chair in front of the window. Put the two chairs in front of the desk facing the window possibly at an angle. Put the tall shelving unit to the side either where it is now or the opposite wall. Curtains hung as high as possible at the window to soften it and possibly two tall trees on either side of the window. A nice rug to anchor it all. That way the furniture is floating in the centre of the room and not pushed up against the walls.

Can't wait to see what all you do!! If you have trouble finding a rug to fit your room that is the correct size try going to a local flooring and carpet place. You can choose a rug material you like, in the size and shape you need, and they can bind the edges for you! I did this in my last house because I wanted a large square rug and it was nearly impossible to find! Everything is looking super. I understand the emotions of moving into a new home. It's such a blessing to have a cosy home. Many are not as fortunate. It's nice to know other people loves their homes as much as I do!!! ❤🏡❤ Love your channel my friend!

Love your new house. Your office is so nice. Suggestion to put the desk in the middle of the room with your back to the window, looking out to the livingroom, chairs in each corner facing the window and a nice rug under the desk. Also, the boys room, not into having the bunk beds in between the window, no room for a night table. Would like to see it on the left side wall and the dresser on the window wall. More room for the boys to play. The desk would be great where you said, and a great wall for art. So excited for you and your family. 💜🇨🇦

Oh Crystal I’m so happy and excited for you!!!!!! I remember moving into our home we built 5 1/2 years ago. I was so overwhelmed and overjoyed. There was one night pre move in that I spent about 5 hours in the house by myself, putting together a lamp and doing a bit of cleaning. My heart was so full. I had many tears of joy at Gods care for me for allowing this long awaited (20 years) dream to come true. Our home and country living was the gift of healing I needed after a few very difficult years. Never be ashamed to show your tears of great fullness. Bask in this gift and enjoy the process. My sister-in-law could not find the size of rug she needed for her large room so she called around and found a place that would bind the edges of any size of carpet and style of carpet you wanted. I also did this same thing for my basement. I found the perfect size in a large remnant and had the ends (edged/binded). I talked to the guy at the carpet place who did this for us and he used a large industrial sewing machine. Just a thought if you can't find the size you want. Just remember the big stress is over now and it's just the little stresses left to tweak things. 😃😃

Yes - OVERWHELMING- is the word I would use. Giving me anxiety watching this but I have faith that you will shine and not stop till your whole house is put together. I care for twin girls and when they were about 7 or 8 they got their own bedrooms (house renovation) but they still love to sleep together. It is hard to break that but totally fine too. When they get older I am sure they will want that privacy.
