I used to work at a five guys during college, and theres a trick to the frys. after letting the precooks cool for about 2 minutes, squish it between your fingers, the skin should not break. they should be a dull color. and for the final cooks, the should turn a golden color, and another squish test. if you split the fry in half and squish the end, it should almost look like mashed potatos. And when you eat it, it should have a crispy outside and a creamy inside. Hope JP and Julia see this!!

I work at five guys 😂😂 they almost got everything right except that we specifically use Red hot hot sauce, (I forgot the brand of BBQ), peanut oil, we don’t prepress, we use mayo not butter for grilled cheese, and we use one grilled cheese and put the patty in between not two grilled cheeses with a patty in between😂

As someone who sells the parts to them, I can confirm five guys has a timer built into their fryers lol

Hello JP & Julia...Great video...I've actually viewed most of them, and there's a little something in all of them, to satisfy most of us. Just be careful about over- doing it, with extreme amounts, when it comes to sodium (salt), sugar, and any food products that have high quantities of saturated fats, including cheeses, meats, etc. Being an EMS First Responder for decades, I've dealt with many people who over did it with way too much of that stuff...OH, and keep hydrated, too. You're a cute and talented couple. ⚘

i work for five guys, for the fries its 1-2 min without a timer, and its called precooks. then we test the mush test witch if you squeeze it and it's mushy without breaking then that's a good precook, then for final cooks, you keep in until 100% floatation and sounds like leaves when shaken. but overall great job guys

A good reason ur fries are as light is we precook our fries before a final cook and no we don't have timers but we do have an estimate time for fries
