We opened a Korean Street Toast Restaurant in London!!
We're currently finalising plans for how to safely open up our Street Toast to everyone! Go follow @KoreanToastLondon on instagram for updates - hopefully there'll be news within the next week!!

Alin and Kate share our kimchi-obsession, and our desire to share it world-wide - so they developed the kimchi we used in our menu specifically to be as accessible as possible - perfect one-portion sizes without having to worry about storing and stinking out the rest of your fridge!

As a chef who’s opened a few restaurants I can honestly say that these guys killed it. They did it smart, just a few items, done really well. As first days go you couldn’t have asked for much better than that. Kudos.

이 댓글을 영국남자 크루분들이 볼 수 있을지 모르겠지만 혹시 보신다면! ㅇㅇ토스트집 알바 일년한 경험으로 알려드릴게요! 양배추는 조금 더 얇게 썰어야 특유의 쓴맛은 덜하면서 단맛이 나요! 기계도 있고 얇게 썰리는 채칼도 있으니 시도해보셔요!! 또 양배추를 올릴때 주먹으로 주먹밥 쥐듯이 손 안에서 굴리다가 올리면 떨어지는 양배추 양도 적고 보기에 훨씬 깔끔하답니다! + 많은 분들이 추천해주셔서 영국남자팀이 볼 확률이 올라갔네요! 감사합니다 ㅎㅎ 하지만 직접 장사를 하시는건 영국남자팀이니까 피드백을 받고 결정하는건 오롯이 영국남자팀의 몫이라고 생각해요 그동안 해왔던 루틴이 있으니 바꾸기가 쉽지않다는 것도 알고요ㅎㅎ 얼마나 힘든일인지 격하게 공감하는 입장으로서 조금 덜 힘들었으면 좋겠는 마음이에요 항상 응원합니다!!!

Seeing Korean students feel home with the toast is really a nice moment. For them to remember Korea or their childhood only means the taste is really good and authentic. People there are lucky they will get to Try a good representation of Korean Toast without travelling! Congratulations! And everyone literally loved it. Its beautiful and I dont know, i feel proud even if Im not part of this. You guys are amazing. It literally what your channel is in a restaurant form.

항상 우리나라를 진심으로 좋아해주고, 건전한 방법으로 한국을 알리고, 영상 자체가 자극적이지 않으면서도 시청자로 하여금 끊임없이 미소짓게 하는게 참 대단하고 감사한 것 같아요. 특히 한국 음식의 이름을 말할 때 국어로 하시는게 많은 존중이 감겨있다는 생각이 듭니다.

12:25 this whole part w Koreans tasting the Korean Toast made me tear up a little bit. As Koreans living in England, they probably really don’t get much chance or places where they can eat food that tastes like home to them. Must have felt so nostalgic and comforted, tasting something that you had back at home! Specifically the students who are studying in the UK and probably lives by themselves.

Seeing more Asian food been accepted else where brings a smile to my face. I absolutely loved Korean food and been a Singaporean, I am thankful our country is diverse with different culture and my tongue readily accepts food from the each corners of the earth. Loved your humour and reactions as well, I do wish I can drop by London again when covid is all over and pop by the toast food stand!

As someone who has broadened her palette with sushis and things like that, you guys need to bring this Korean toast over to the United States. Seriously I'm drooling. I've watched this video so many times and it doesn't get old and it just makes me want Korean toast that much more. And all of the ingredients that you have for making this I love so all the better.

Um....it's already here. A lot of big cities will have it, especially in their Little Korea Town district if they have one. Korean food is taking off here in the US. Here in Oregon we even have a place serving Mexi-Korean Fusion. (Seriously, Korean burritos are bomb.)

First, your family and friends are lovely. Second, when I saw that the high school boys would be on next week, I was immediately excited. They are some of my favorite guests to your channel. Third, I can't even imagine what a taste of home that must be for the guests who are from Korea. Fourth, I am, once again, craving kimchi. It is now an inevitable part of my experience with your channel. And lastly, Gabie is a hero. Gabie, you are amazing beyond words, and your support is, I have no doubt, one of the only reasons this actually happened.

just because ive heard Josh said that "kimchi is really big in the UK now" yeah ofcourse because of the popularity of Kpop is really really really really going global, Josh and Ollie were there before this Kpop impact were this big in the western culture. Josh and Ollie … this was the perfect thing for you. You guys are the most naturally hospitable and genuinely amazing people you can come by. You carry conversation with people and show genuine interest in everyone. Your ability to connect with your audience and spread knowledge and enjoyment about something you love yourself is perfect. The food looks so good I am dying right now because I don’t have anything in front of me. This entire project and the success of it makes me very happy.

I bet all the Koreans that were able to try this were reminiscing while eating the toast and were very happy. It’s hard to be away from your home country but when you came across food like this that makes you feel at home it makes everything better. Congrats! Yaassss soju cocktails! in LA we can buy soju in 1.75 liter bottles ㅋㅋㅋ so it's replaced vodka for us in a lot of ways at home. I recommend the different flavored Calpico as an alt for the Milkis. You can also try yakult and also with the different flavored makgeolli! With banana flavored makgeolli, it basically makes an adult "banana milk" :P

My cheeks actually hurt from smiling for 16 minutes straight. This is so wholesome- you guys, the food and the people who joined you all along. I am glad you are able to do all of this and just spread so much happiness. Also, its 1 am where I am rn and let me tell you I have never craved anything more in a moment than I am craving that kimchi cheese toast rn. You guys did a good job with it!!

The thing is, I'm not even Korean or British. But both South Korea and England have always been my favorite countries since I was in elementary school. So this channel existence itself is a miracle to me because it's like the two of them combined, full of the things I love. I'm so happy that Josh and Ollie are able to make it this far. Food is indeed the most common and easiest language everyone can speak of. Truly hope this new business can also be a beautiful bridge for South Korea and England like what you've always done in this channel♡ Love, Indonesia.

I am so incredibly proud of this family. The have literally acted upon their dreams and are living it right now. It was a huge gamble to open this restaurant out of nowhere, but they will be so successful. I sincerely wish that I lived in London because I would love to try this food out for myself. Gabie remains an absolute legend and culinary queen. What would we do without her???

My daughter and I cried watching this. We have been trying for years to get people to accept korean food, its a staple in our house, we couldn't live without it. The thought of returning back to live in the the UK scared us because we knew Korean food wouldn't be accessible to us but you have given us hope. thank goodness its becoming more accepted and it will be more available for us to buy when we return after 20 yrs. Thank you for this.

R u from Mars???alot of English people are opening Korean restaurants. Why..?? Korean food is healthy. Korean food I'd science. In US, it's been popular for long time. 20 years ago, I saw Brook Shilss in Korean grocery.! Korean culture became one of mail stream culture on the globe now. Wake up.!!! Our ancestors gave us a that. Korea was weak for short-term but we have 5000 years of long history which England cannot compare. Our permeated soysauce, go huang, galbi , another of vegetable cuisine is very popular world wide. Because it's healthy!! Wake up have pride!! I know another of American friends go crazy with Korean dishes. Compare it with hamberger, pizza, or fish and chips od UK. Here in US, Korean Galvin, Bible bop, vegetarian cuisine have been popular for long time already. How come u have so low self esteem about ur own culture and food?? Even Kimchi, go check KZfaq, kimchi making vedio is freaking popular globally. Korean food is healthy. Have pride. Fish and chips.. is it food?? Korean food is science. Another pf permenation, vegetable, good oils... I been in US for 30 years. Lot of my American friends go crazy w kimchi. Galbi. Korea's culture and food is one of the most advanced on the globe. Korean vegetarian restaurant has been popular since I came to US 30 years ago.!

@@harrychae2691 I think you have not understood what I have written. I know to well what Korean food is as I lived in Korea for 4 yrs eating only Korean food. I have lived in Asia for the last 20 yrs where Korean food is widely available obviously. My issue is that when we go back to the UK where we come from there are only Chinese supermarkets that carry very few Korean items, and no korean alcohol. Because we make our own kimchi and banchan it will be difficult to get most ingredients. We always try to persuade our friends visiting us in Asia to try Korean food and they are very apprehensive to eating pigs organs, seaweed soup or fermented fish etc, (which we love) When we lived in the USA we were able to shop at H Mart but that is not available in UK just now I believe. All I was saying was, where I live in UK ( not London) it will be very difficult to get Korean food and we will miss it very much as it is what we normally eat. We were happy to see in this video that Korean street food making its way to the UK, so I don't really understand your story!!
