Raw marinated crab is one of our favorite dishes. We've been on the hunt for our go to spot. Mark found a distributor in Korea that specializes in this crab for decades and decided to place an order. We walk you through how we prepared for this mukbang and answer the question whether it was worth ordering it straight from Korea. We got both kinds to try in this video: Yangnyeom Gejang- 양념게장 (Spicy Raw Crab) and Ganjang Gejang 간장게장- Soy Marinated Raw Crab.

Your raw marinated crab videos are my absolute favorite!! All the emotions and noises 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mark enjoy a meal the way he enjoyed this one. Looks SOOOOOOOO yummy.

The website we bought these from is www.hanpoom.com. It's all in Korean and the crabs may or may not be available. The spicy one was $140, the soy sauce one was $150.

I love watching y'all eat the raw marinated crab! Anticipating the day I get to try it. I have gone back and watched the video from a yr ago with the reveal of the new rice cooker lol a few times. Love it! First saw this dish years ago on Eat with Kim and watched a recipe video on Nan The House Chef's channel but too intimidating for me to make. Happy you both are feeling much better! 💚

@@ItsJamesandMark I checked out the website for Seoul mills and omg I’m easily going to spend a lot. Lol. Have you guys tried any of the other things they sell? Like the abalone? It all looks so good, I’ve never had abalone but growing up in Hawaii, we eat a lot of different seafood that looks similar (only smaller) and it looks delicious.

Bubba won't let me buy eggs right now due to prices....lol. Love Mark's sweater! Haru is on it! I don't know if I could eat this. I tried raw oysters and I was not a fan. It was the texture for me. I love how James loves and enjoys his foods. I wish I had this kind of relationship with food.

Raw crab Virginia here. Do you think the marinade cooks the crab like ceviche? And is this expensive? You make it look yummy!

We don't believe it is cooking it like a ceviche, maybe more like preserving it? These will set you back about $140-150 depending on the style you get (soy sauce is the more expensive one).

We haven't had issues eating it, I wouldn't equate it to smoked salmon though since that's actually cooked. Think of it as the same risk as eating other raw foods like raw oysters.
