We overbore a 2stroke engine to 29cc, lengthen the stroke, and increase the compression by more than we should, and Shoehorn it into our parts bin build.
KPOP and NASH, are almost ready to fire up the parts bin build, And man is there compression. To pull start it you have to put your foot on the engine or you'll just pick the damn thing up.

I swear man some of the fastest 2 stroke engine builds ive done were out of just mismatched shit. I rebuilt my little brothers yz125 with used rings that had been sitting in a shoebox since i was on a 125. I had a fresh top end and my dad got me a 175 big bore kit for my bday so i saved all the stock displacement shit. A mystery piston, a mikuni carb i think was from my moms 2 stroke Yamaha blaster, a used hot crank i bought for my 125 with xmas money when i was 14 and never put in, and a anodized purple NAK head i got at lorettas from the NAK tent in like '99. Still to this day its the fastest stock displacement 125 my brothers and i have ever ridden. It just cracks like a whip man. Probably 20-25 hours on the top end and its still a 1st kick bike. It hangs right with my wifes stock 2020 yz250f. Its nuts how things come together sometimes.

At 3:57 the piston is backwards. The arrow on top of the piston always points towards the exhaust side. This has to due with the placement of the ring gap in relation to the ports.

@@kpopRC I saw that too, and saw that you rotated the head, but never saw the piston get rotated in the video. Just giving you a heads up before the ring snagged a port and ruined your new top end!

Did you do any port work? The transfers are just cut the whole way up. Im just getting into modding chainsaws and havent seen them cut like that before.

Hey man. these are really 2 strokes made for rc. There are a few modders that have been doing their magic with ports on these for years. I'd check out oneil brothers racing. And check out their port work.

by motor mounts do you mean the 3 metric bolts that ridgedly bolt the chassis plate to the crankcase? if so i HIGHLY doubt rattling on the ground would do anything to those bolts. we didn't build this thing for it to sit pretty on a shelf. we're putting it through MUCH more than letting it idle on the ground.

@@kpopRC well I tuned a ton of chain saws, set your low first basically get a nice clean idle with no bog when you hit the throttle wide open for a quick second. For your high hold it wide open. You aren't gonna hurt it. And keep turning the high until you get the roughness out and high revs clean. Then back about a 1/8 or 1/4 turn to rich it a tad to compensate load.

lock rear diff, and sand paddles in the dunes is amazing with a pipe. just some times 5hp to the rear wheels with snappy clutch engagement isn't the best. Also it's pricey. lol

Let me tell you that is NOT a chainsaw engine, how did you 'overbore' it?, did you check squish?.

yeah. guilty. only way to get youtube to work these days is to try to rope people in outside of the niche. The overbore kit is 35mm bore cylinder plus 2mm stroker crank. Came as a kit. we just didn't know if the kit used a special size head gasket, as it turns out it's stock. so no issues with squish. The squish on the cylinder has been pre-machined to accept the 2mm stroker using only the standard .020" cylinder gasket. so we've been told. the thing is this was sitting in a box. so we didn't know if we had the right parts. we bought a mess of parts.
