During the episode you guys are talking about with "Old Man Voll," the old dwarf friend she visits with, they reveal what their life expectancy is about 300 years. So, much longer than a human but nowhere near and elf.

yes, and in the same episode its confirmed that Eisen is a dwarf.

They technically went 25 episodes, 1-4 was one long premiere on Japan's evening movie slot. Families gather for that TV slot. Which is why ep 5 starts with a summary recap.

Yeah, I skipped it for half the season. I thought, "Uh. Another isekai..." Until I heard people gushing about it, and then I thought, "Meh. I'll watch one episode..." And I binged 12 episodes. I seriously think it's one of the best anime of all time.

@@Gecko3456 I watch a lot of anime. I've got 20 on the go, and more to add this new season. There are only so many hours in the day. Sometimes you have to make executive decisions. My initial decision was wrong. :)

I felt the same way. I was bored one day and saw a fight and lore from a short and had to see it. This show is awesome. You should check out fushi no anata
