As a Ranger THANK YOU for bringing up the weather!!! 90 % of rescues have to do with someone not accounting for the weather. Heat, cold, storms etc… Love watching your videos!

Reason why poptop vans are so good - no wind drag & best for overhead clearance on offroad tracks & excellent ventilation. Modern offroad vans are way too tall & top heavy

You guys are FANTASTIC! I don’t agree that your message about weather is boring. It’s a really important thing to have an escape plan because as Keelan said “travellers should not have to be rescued”. Those resources should go to people who are in life and death situations. Spot on Keelan 👍

Still worth giving the boring advice too. If you hit Mareeba before you head West you might want to consider the Drive-in on a Friday or Saturday night. Pay to watch 2 movies and stay for free. Safe travels!

Notch point is near us. It is so lovely out there. Be aware of the fancy snappy handbags and the cows. The cows came be very curious at times

Been there done that and if you’ve got drum brakes don’t use your hand brake if it been raining that brown mud locks your drums. Plus the salt spay gives the gal chase a blast. But absolutely love the place stunning.

To be honest we are 99% blazè about the weather, we are so glad we took this one seriously though, got twice as much rain in the end than what was suppose to come

Notch Point is the best free camp on the east coast. I was there last October I was planning to stay for 3 days ended up staying there for 4 weeks. Thanks for sharing this great free camp

Can remember going camping on the Murray River back in the 80's. The dirt roads were a few k's in. We had my grandparents xy Fairmont V8 and my dad's xc Fairmont V8 both towing caravans. Back then we didn't know how much rain we would get and had some fun time's driving these tracks in the wet.

Absolutely rate Notch Point. We lived in Mackay for 5 years and used to love heading down there for the weekend. And can we say that we don’t travel full time but absolutely think that knowing your weather is paramount when travelling Your knowledge and opinion wasn’t boring to us. Yewww loved notch point we took our old Millard 82 series in there and we parked exactly where you guys are parked!! Weekends get a little crazy with the locals 😂 well said with the safety to mate. We did the same when we heard the rain was coming in as the track out would be a sloppy mess

Stayed at Notch point 3 nights in our camper, definitely a great spot. Prity sure the sign say's no caravans, but there were a few there while we were there.

You got it right, youtube and social media have unfortunately ruined all our local spots here. Notch is still a awesome spot if you can get there on random weekday outside of peak times.

I recon 1 Mongrel a day from Keelan is all you need Sarah. If you get a dog and I love dogs, psst cats, you cannot go to national parks. If you are clucky go a baby. They say a mongrel a day keep the doctor in pay.

I would love to travel like yous but due to elderly parents me and the boss (misses) look after its hard to even have a night on the Gold cost. When we did agnes water for 4 night the phone never stopped from them. Keep it up and go and enjoy the time travelling

As a cattle producer I'd like to say don't single out and cut of the cattle you could see it was already nervous just let it walk by at its own pace. That had potential to go real bad . Otherwise good video
