This made this old womans day.she is getting so smart. and has made so much progress in 3 short yrs.and her learning to play with her sister ,and mika is enjoying it .could watch that all day.

My mom‘s dad had six kids. He always said that being a fair parent doesn’t mean you treat your children the exact same way. Every child has different needs, different strengths and different weaknesses. I’m 19 years old, and I don’t have any children yet, but I absolutely agree with his mindset.

The progress you’ve made with Izzy is immense . I really like that you allow her to explore different things and textures when you’re in public and aren’t worried that you’d attract attention. Isabella had me clapping and laughing in pure delight. It is actually hard to believe this is the same little girl you brought home. Being visually disabled myself(since I still can see very closeup) I understand your parenting well and you are doing way better than most specialists, who are not visually disabled or blind themselves, just saying. I love your whole family. Love and caring conquers all hurdles and can make a huge difference. You made my day today, it made me think of fond memories of Jacqueline, a little 6yearold blind girl in an orphan home that became my little sister of my heart when I was in boarding school overseas at age 12-13. We hung out twice a week and sometimes more often. She had family who never visited ever, not even when she became sick. My dad was thinking about adopting her, when she got suddenly very ill and wouldn't let me leave, so the director let me stay til she fell asleep. I go a ride back to my school, which was half a hill down, she passed away in her sleep, and was buried at village church, her family didn't even want her then. But I always remember her.

She truly is a little angel! Her feet are like an extra pair of hands, she gets so much, from using them. Love how she touched the laptop buttons with her fingers, then with her foot, double sensory, no wonder, she has her feet up in the air, fully exploring, she is awesome, so glad she got the chance to join your family! 🥰

You are the Angels God sent to save Isabel... And Isabel is the journey God has asked you and your family to take. You are a great motivator although we are to old now to adopt. But we were foster parents hosting 31 children of all disabilities. And we were able to adopt our daughter at 3 months. A lot of challenges but she's 30+. Thank you for sharing this video/vlog.

What a precious video. I havent seen many videos lately, got sick, then my brother in law passed away from covid. Work has been crazy busy. I'm out for positive covid cases at work. We had our beautiful little girl who had spina bifida and fluid in her brain when she was born. She had a lot off surgery’s also tumour in her brain. We had 19 beautiful years with her and wasn’t her tumour or condition that she passed away from was sepsis as hospital didn’t know much about it. And when they did was to late. My heart is broken since but watching you’re blogs gives me joy seeing what a great mom and dad and brothers and sisters you are to you’re two beautiful little girls. . Love ❤️ from Ireland 🇮🇪

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, especially where Izzy & Mika Ella are interacting. She has come so far! I’ve heard that it takes the same amount of time to undo damage previously caused by neglect. Well if that be the case Izzy is progressing well😀

There is nothing wrong with picking and choosing your battles when it comes to things w Izzy. You know her and you love her and you know how hard to push and when to back off. To me that’s good parenting. Seeing her progress is amazing both girls are a credit to you as are all your children.

I've fostered many and adopted a few medically fragile little ones. My oldest is 27 & the most well-adjusted of all of us I love hearing you say. typical instead of normal. Abnormal is such a harsh word and who are we to judge normal or not? Who am I to say a child is abnormal?! Typical is a very accepting word, and most people don't have atypical on the tip of their tongue? Then you can direct if and how this conversation will go forth. When other children hear your words, they soak them up like sponge. Good job mom & dad!
