This is by far the best in the "We race to find ________" series. There were so many highlights here. -Each catching the other's legendary -John finding Rayquaza that Mikey missed all because they happened to live in different time zones -Mikey's never-ending struggle with Miltank -Slash -Mikey's slip-up with his "Godfish" nickname -John's brilliant interrogation over Whiscash's moveset -John's genius deductive reasoning to go back and find the truth behind "Godfish" This was excellent content. I only wish it was longer. Maybe next time you could assign two Pokemon and you only win when you find both.

Fun Fact: in the earlier games where Azuril was introduced, there was a programming error where a female azuril will swap genders upon evolving since the gender ratios are flipped between the two.

The gender ratios aren't flipped. Marill is 50/50, while Azurill is 25/75 (Male/Female). 1 in 3 Female Azurill change gender on evolution in Generations 3 to 5. They fixed it in Generation 6.

I think this is my favorite of the John Michael Cup entry. Both of them encountering the others Legend and then the following mind games are great. Not to mention the priceless reactions of absolute panic when they do find the other legend. The boss music sting when it happens is also a fantastic touch. I am legitimately curious how long this could have gone for if Mikey didn't name it Godfish.

Random Pokéfact: One of Gen 1's bugs is that although Omastar learns the same level up moves as Omanyte it does so at a lower level. All other evolutions learn moves at higher levels, presumably to force you to make a decision as to whether you want higher stats or better moves.

Fun fact: In BDSP, Dusclops has a 98% Radar encounter chance on Route 224, which makes it one of the easiest Pokemon to shiny hunt for using PokeRadar. Contrary to this, Duskull, is found on the same route using PokeRadar, and has a 2% encounter rate, making it one of the hardest Pokemon to hunt for using PokeRadar

Here is how Wiscach can be excused for being called God Fish: -Being based on a Catfish Yokai Namazu that makes earthquakes. -In the pokemon anime, a giant Whiscash managed to not get caught in a Master Ball. -In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team, a Whiscash is a wise elder found north of Pokémon Square.
